About This Game

You’ve arrived in Paris and rented a house for the year. 12 months to make a name for yourself! Each month, you can host a party or earn a perk by going on a trip with one of your new friends.

Every party starts with a guest list. The secret is to strike the right balance: some glamour, some wit, a little romance. While you’re still new in town, you won’t have many people to choose from but, as your guests introduce you to their friends, you can become more discerning. Aim for a group with something in common: art, writing, music, a shared interest.

Never in all human history has one place become a magnet for the world’s creatives like Paris in the 1920s. Picasso, Chanel, Orwell and 37 more stars of the age await your invitation. To play as them, you first need to meet them and unlock them. Each has their own traits, a unique role that can be triggered at parties, and varying numbers of friends and Francs!

If you can't buy it in Paris, it's not worth having. All the ingredients of a legendary dinner are on your doorstep. There are shops to furnish your house, feed your guests, and find the perfect drink to break the ice. Businesses with special services open during the year so there are many strategies to stretch your budget. You may be in the gutter but you're looking at the stars!

Guests arrive, explore, admire your decor and offer up pearls of wisdom in conversation. Each time they speak, they express one of their traits (making some better guests than others!) If they like something, they react and you earn points. An even mix of reaction types will maximise your score, as will maintaining a good mood by serving food and drinks at the right time.
