“Bug Bane’s core gameplay is already fun and fully playable, but balancing a rogue-like alone is unrealistic. Enemy pacing, item power curves, and the randomness of instant effects all require real player data to reach a satisfying state.
As a solo developer, I can only test the game on a limited number of machines—meaning performance issues, edge-case bugs, and unexpected crashes are far easier to catch with the help of an active community.
Early Access lets me refine the balance, improve stability, and shape the evolving content together with players instead of guessing in isolation.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“My current target is 3 to 6 months, depending on the volume of feedback and the complexity of the updates.
If players feel certain systems need deeper rework, I'm willing to extend the timeline. My focus is releasing a polished, stable final version—not rushing the process.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full release is planned to include:

More enemy types and AI variants

Additional biomes and map themes

At least one extra boss with new attack phases

Improved balance and performance across all systems


If the community strongly requests new features or modes, I’m open to adjusting this list. Transparency will be maintained throughout development.”

Complete core combat loop (manual shooting + enemy waves + boss fights)

Multiple item routes

Instant items with both positive and negative effects

Fully playable runs from start to finish

Stable performance on most mid-range systems

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price is planned to increase slightly after Early Access.
Early players take the risk, provide the feedback, and help shape the final product—so they deserve a better deal. I want them to feel that their early support genuinely mattered.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I’ll be actively gathering feedback through:

Steam community discussions

Discord server (for quick feedback loops)

Occasional in-game surveys after major updates

Patch notes that clearly share what changed and why

Players will influence balance, item design, difficulty curves, and the order of new content.”
