About This Game

SWEDEN, 2005

Every modern defence system went dark overnight.

Sweden is under attack by an AI-controlled Soviet invasion force. The country's advanced military technology has become useless. Its last line of defence consists of obsolete analog fighter jets and the pilots still willing to fly them.

Flight Weapon is a 360-degree top-down aerial combat shooter set in an alternative Cold War. Take off, engage enemy aircraft and fight your way across real Swedish terrain in machines built before software took control of the battlefield.

MASTER THE AIRSPACE

Flight Weapon combines the direct action of a classic shoot 'em up with unrestricted movement and tactical air combat.

Control your heading, speed and angle of attack as you turn inside enemy fighters, evade incoming missiles and line up the perfect shot. Cannons are deadly at close range, while infrared and radar-guided weapons require different positioning, timing and countermeasures.

Your aircraft may be old, but it is not helpless. Learn its strengths, respect its limitations and use analog engineering against an enemy that has made modern technology a liability.

FLY THE OLD MACHINES

Take command of a lineup of Swedish Cold War aircraft, each with its own handling, armament and combat role.

The aircraft and weapons are based on real technical specifications, translated into fast and readable arcade combat. Choosing the right approach matters. A heavy interceptor does not fight like a lightweight trainer, and a radar-guided missile does not behave like a heat-seeker.

DEFEND SWEDEN

Fight through a 10-mission story campaign across an occupied Sweden.

Enemy fighters, bombers and ground forces stand between you and the truth behind the invasion. Follow the conflict from the opening attack to the final confrontation as Sweden's surviving forces attempt to understand and stop the machine directing the war.

The campaign takes place above terrain based on real Swedish geography, turning familiar forests, coastlines, cities and military regions into an alternative battlefield.

BUILD YOUR OWN BATTLE

Custom Mode lets you configure your own combat missions without replaying the campaign.

Select the battlefield, conditions and aircraft before entering the combat zone. Fly Swedish, Soviet or American aircraft and test their different capabilities against the forces of your choice.

Experiment with aircraft that normally belong to opposing sides of the conflict, create new matchups and return to the cockpit whenever you want a direct fight.

CHALLENGE ANOTHER PILOT

Take the fight online in 1v1 multiplayer dogfights.

Configure the match, choose the battlefield and select aircraft from Sweden, the Soviet Union or the United States. Fight historical matchups, mirror matches or confrontations that never occurred outside this alternative timeline.

Victory depends on positioning, weapon selection and knowing when to attack. There are no armies to hide behind and no computer-controlled wingmen to blame. Just two pilots, their aircraft and the weapons they carry.

BUILT FROM ANOTHER ERA

Flight Weapon draws inspiration from classic PC shooters, Cold War aviation and the military technology of the late twentieth century.

Its original FM-synth soundtrack was created using period hardware, giving the campaign a sound rooted in the same era as the machines on screen.

No modern war machine is coming to save Sweden.

The old aircraft will have to do.
