About This Game

Moonvile is a PvP game for up to 12 players, set in a dark magical conflict between Velgrins and Zaurens.

Zaurens use the spells they carry within their minds to hunt down the surrounding Velgrins, reclaim the Moonvile that was once stolen from them, and exact their long-awaited revenge.

Aware of the terrifying potential of the Zaurens, the Velgrins gather magical items scattered across the area, hoping to open a dimensional portal and escape Moonvile safely—dreaming of one day returning, stronger than before.

WHAT DO VELGRINS DO?

Velgrins collect magical books and potions spread throughout the area.
Their main goal is to gather enough potions to break the protective shields of the magical cauldrons and escape Moonvile.

At the beginning of each match, players can configure how many potions are needed to break the shields.

During this process, Velgrins must avoid becoming easy prey for Zaurens. To survive or protect their teammates when encountered, they can read and activate the magical books they've stored in their inventory.

WHAT DO ZAURENS DO?

Zaurens, having suffered years of exclusion and oppression from Velgrins due to their innate powers, now seek vengeance.

Their goal is to stop every Velgrin from escaping, and to drag them to the edge of death as retribution.

At the start of each match, Zaurens choose the spells they will use based on the map and build their own custom set.
They then attempt to stop all Velgrins and reclaim a peaceful life in Moonvile, as it once was.
But they are always outnumbered—so it won’t be easy.

LORE — The Dark Memory of Moonvile

Once upon a time, magic was believed to exist only in books.
Scrolls, symbols, ancient incantations...

And there were those who claimed to own magic itself: the Velgrins.
To them, order was preserved through knowledge, and knowledge was safe only in their hands.
But chained knowledge decays.

And one day, one of those chains broke.

In one of the towers, an apprentice cast a spell without a book.
Not with his hands. Not with his voice.
With his mind.
He thought the spell.
And the world heard it.

That day, Moonvile tasted fear.

This kind of power could not be controlled.
It didn’t fit into a page.
It didn’t follow the rules.
And so, the new bearers of magic were cast out from the order.

They were called witches. Outcasts. Heretics.
But in the end, they all came to be known by one name: Zaurens.

Those Who Shape Magic with Thought Now Hunt Those Who Bind It to Books

Velgrins still cling to their spellbooks.
Every power they cast needs a page.
But that requires time.
Focus.
And silence.
But Moonvile... is not silent.

Moonvile is the graveyard of truths exiled by the towers.
A place of magical experiments, shattered minds, and lost history.

But now the graves are opening.
And the Zaurens are returning.

They learned magic not from books, but from trauma.
Each one carries a spell within their mind.
Before casting it, they close their eyes for a few seconds…
And they remember:

Velgrins try to escape.
They search Moonvile for sacred relics.
Because only those relics can save them.
