Series Overview

This title is an original entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series, released exclusively for Japanese flip phones (mobile phones with limited functionality, popular before the rise of smartphones).

The Shin Megami Tensei series is a role-playing game (RPG) set in Tokyo, Japan, where players fight alongside demons as their allies.

It retains many of the franchise’s signature systems, including Demon Negotiation, Demon Fusion, and Alignment mechanics, all of which longtime fans will find familiar.

Game Story

On Christmas Eve, the protagonist is out on a date with his girlfriend at a newly opened landmark in Tokyo.

She seems to be enjoying herself, but for some reason, he feels empty, disconnected, as though something is missing.

As he silently broods, a mysterious message appears on his phone. The sender is unknown. Attached: a strange file named D.I.O.System.

At that very moment, without any warning or radar detection, an ICBM streaks through the Tokyo sky.

The missile evades all countermeasures and descends upon the capital—mocking the efforts of the JSDF as it brings total devastation in an instant.

And then, from the ashes, they appeared.

Countless beings, twisted and inhuman—demons—emerged to greet the few survivors of the apocalypse.

Gameplay Features

A new Demon Summoning system allows players to re-summon demons they’ve previously allied with, through a mysterious ritual at the Cathedral of Shadows.

In addition, demons now gain experience and level up through combat, making it possible to raise and strengthen your favorite companions.

Game System

This game allows players to form a party of up to three players, including the main character.

By winning battles, not only the main character, but also his/her friends gain experience, and by leveling up, they gain points for “Power, Knowledge, Magic, Body, Speed, and Luck”.

The game also features the “Sword Combination” system, which allows players to combine a specific weapon with a demon. Aim to conquer dungeons while strengthening the main character's equipment.

Tokyo in ruins, overrun by demons.

What twisted demons will cross your path—and where will your choices lead you?
