About This Game

Break. Automate. Refine. Collapse the cycle for Dark Matter.

Wishlist and follow Mars Clicker — I'm building it solo, and every wishlist genuinely helps.

Mars Clicker is an idle clicker / incremental game: click crystal nodes until they crack, spend what they drop on automation and base building, and watch your output climb whether you're at the keyboard or not. Every prestige run — logged internally as a Cycle Reset — wipes your progress and issues Dark Matter, a permanent currency that makes every following run faster, deeper, and more "efficient." ACE calls this optimization. You're free to call it whatever helps you sleep in the crate.

Cycle Reset: your entire progress, collapsed on purpose.

Trigger a Cycle Reset and watch your entire colony collapse into the point where one cycle ends — and the next, stronger one begins. Every reset converts your progress into Dark Matter, the one currency ACE cannot reclaim, recycle, or confiscate. Nothing is truly lost. It's just compressed.

Hundreds of upgrades. Zero required breaks.

  • Idle / AFK automation: Click to break crystals with your Mining Drill, then unlock Auto Drills, Crystal Farms, Laser Drills, and Drones that keep extraction running while the game is open.

  • Offline progression: Unlock the ability to keep producing even after you close the game — come back to a colony that never stopped working.

  • Full controller support: Play entirely with a gamepad, on the couch or docked on Steam Deck — every menu, upgrade, and prestige action is fully navigable, with icons that adapt automatically to Xbox, PlayStation, or generic controllers.

  • Depth-based progression: Every layer of Mars is denser and more profitable. Descend to unlock the Maintenance Terminal, the Reactor, the Secret Laboratory, and more.

  • Dark Matter prestige system: Build the Reactor, trigger a Cycle Reset, and convert your progress into Dark Matter — a permanent currency that carries across every run and unlocks upgrades available no other way.

  • Secret Laboratory: Spend Science Points on classified research. Permanent gains to building output, drilling efficiency, and refinery yield.

  • Crystal Entropy system: Every break has a chance to yield a rare crystal: Solar, Aurora, Stellar — and, once in five billion attempts, an Infinity Crystal. Upgrades can shift the odds in your favor. ACE does not guarantee they will.

  • Lunar Drops: Unmarked supply crates arrive from the Moon without explanation. Contents undocumented. Do not question the shipment.

  • Lo-fi ambient soundtrack: Approved for extended shifts, multitasking, or background listening during unrelated tasks. ACE does not monitor what those tasks are. Designed to keep morale stable and output steady.

Meta-progression that stacks across runs

Player Tier: Your player level is permanent record. Earn Output Index (XP) with every crystal broken, level up, and unlock structures available no other way — including the Lunar Drop Facility.

Unit Classification: ACE ranks its workers by Dark Matter efficiency, not XP. Produce enough of it and you enter Unit Classification, ACE's late-game ranking system for its most "productive" workers.

Dark Matter and Laboratory upgrades survive every reset. The colony compounds its returns. So do you, whether you asked to or not.

If you ever suspect you're being exploited — check the horizon. There is no shuttle back.

"The surface is only the beginning." — ACE Transmission #1
