What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to build and bring together a community that actively contributes to the game’s evolution. Early Access gives players a sense of exclusivity while allowing them to get involved from the very first stages of development. It will also help us increase the game’s visibility and improve our chances of securing funding, which is essential to continue and expand development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to keep the game in Early Access for a minimum of 6 months. This period will allow us to continue development while securing financial support, notably through crowdfunding. Beyond this phase, our goal is to finalize and release the full version of the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Many additions are planned for the final version. Early Access already allows us to gauge player interest and gather valuable feedback to continue developing the game. We plan to gradually enrich the experience with new maps, in-game purchase skins, a 3v3 multiplayer mode, cinematics, and mini-events during matches. We also aim to implement a ranking system and guilds. The realization of these ambitions will depend on the game’s reception and the success of our crowdfunding campaign.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game currently offers a single-player mode where you can train and have fun collecting resources against the clock. It also features a 1v1 multiplayer mode with public lobbies and the option to create private matches. At this stage, only one map is available, but more content will be added as the game develops.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game follows a freemium model: it will remain free during Early Access, with only in-game purchases offered afterward.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We aim to engage the community by sharing content related to the game and its development process on social media (Instagram, TikTok, and Twitch). We will also occasionally organize playtest sessions and private tournaments to gather feedback and stay accessible to players.”

About This Game

BECOME THE FASTEST CHAMPION
Forget gravity. In Synthopolis, speed is your greatest weapon. Compete online as you race through a vertical cybernetic megacity at breakneck speeds. Every millisecond counts, every turn must be perfect. Will you set the pace?

TWO GRAPPLING HOOKS, ONE SET OF REFLEXES
The grappling hook is the core of your gameplay — and you carry two of them, swappable in mid-air:
  • The Swing hook reaches further and keeps every bit of momentum you have built. Anchor, arc, let go at the right instant, and the ground never gets you back.
  • The Tract hook trades speed for precision: it cuts your velocity and pulls you exactly where you aimed.
Knowing which hook to fire, and when, is what separates a good run from an untouchable one. Layer wall running, sliding and climbing on top: easy to pick up, with a massive skill ceiling.

TWO WAYS TO WIN
  • Final Pulse — one shared countdown. Take the Elyr, keep it, and survive until the clock hits zero.
  • Core Charge — no time limit at all. Every second you hold the Elyr charges your core. Fill it and the round is yours. Lose the Elyr and your progress freezes exactly where it stopped.

ITEMS DON'T WORK THE SAME FOR BOTH SIDES
The arena is scattered with items, but holding the Elyr forbids you from using them — you can only pick them up. Every one you take is one less for the players chasing you. They use theirs freely: reveal your position, muddy their own, double their firepower, or cut your grappling hook clean off. Running away is already denying.

RUNNING ISN'T ENOUGH — YOU'RE ARMED
A clean hit cuts your target's grappling hook and pins them in place. It is brief, and it is long enough to take the Elyr back. Aiming mid-sprint, at the end of a cable or coming out of a slide means working with your momentum instead of against it — and knowing when to trade speed for a shot.

PURE COMPETITION & 100% FREE TO PLAY
No shortcuts, no credit cards. Synthopolis is completely free and built for healthy competition — every champion on equal footing. Each match feeds a global Steam leaderboard: ranking score, wins, losses, matches played.

SEE WHERE YOU STAND, LIVE
The menu shows the global top 10 and your own position around it, on demand, straight from Steam's servers. Two separate leaderboards, one tap apart — one for ranked play, one for Speedrun — because running alone and hunting a rival aren't the same game.

RUN ALONE, RACE THE CLOCK
Not in the mood to be hunted? Take the city on your own. Speedrun mode scatters ten objectives across Synthopolis and times you to the millisecond, with its own leaderboard and your personal best kept on Steam. No hunters, no items — just you, the map and the clock.

AN ALMOST... LIVING ENVIRONMENT
You run to save Earth in 2084, but the arena you cross hides heavy secrets. Synthopolis' shifting architecture feels almost organic. Can you tame this parallel world while crushing the competition?

PLAY IN YOUR OWN LANGUAGE
Synthopolis is fully translated into 11 languages — English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Russian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese and Arabic. Menus and HUD: everything.
