Why Early Access?

“Red Rust Pioneers is a fresh experience, and we want our community to help shape our vision of the game. We wish to build our community and communicate with them regularly to make sure that the game features we will be implementing align with what our players want to see.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate that Red Rust Pioneers will be in Early Access for 18-24 months depending on community feedback and suggestions.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We're planning on the full game including enhanced crafting and building options, as well as further tool upgrade choices. Also planned for the full version are additional wildlife species, biomes and more varied threats across the frontier, making the Wild West more dangerous than ever.

Additionally, we plan to evolve the level of polish and optimisation throughout Early Access. Crucially, our update plans will also be influenced by community feedback and suggestions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Red Rust Pioneers currently features the core mechanics and gameplay needed to deliver a great Wild West survival experience: camp building, hunting, foraging, crafting, fishing, farming and more.

Vital to the survival gameplay, our game world currently includes a variety of weather conditions and dangerous wildlife. The whole game can also be played in single player or in online co-op multiplayer.

There are likely to be bugs present, and with the larger updates there is also a possibility of save games becoming incompatible and possibly wiped.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase as we add more features and get closer to the final version of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We very much want to encourage our players to suggest features and give us feedback on their platforms of choice. This is the reason we're launching in Early Access and we hope that everyone can share their thoughts to help us shape this into a brilliant game.”

Your homestead is your anchor. When you're ready, load your wagon, break camp, and ride out into the wilderness. New country reveals fresh resources, hidden valleys and breathtaking vistas you'll want to share with your companions. And when your saddlebags are full and the sun is dropping, there's nothing quite like the ride home, wagon loaded, ready to build something new.

Every expedition brings something back to make your homestead a little stronger, a little larger, a little more your own.

LIVE OFF THE LAND

But first, you have to survive it.

The Wild West doesn't care about your plans. Battle hunger, thirst, and the unforgiving elements as you forage, hunt, and fish to stay alive. Farm and harvest crops to build a self-sufficient camp. Venture into the mountains for the resources that'll give you an edge.

Master the seasons. Scorching summers, violent rainstorms and freezing winters stand between you and the life you're building. Respect the frontier, and it will reward you. Defy it, and the west has a long memory.
