Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate that Red Rust Pioneers will be in Early Access for 18-24 months depending on community feedback and suggestions.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We're planning on the full game including enhanced crafting and building options, as well as further tool upgrade choices. Also planned for the full version are additional wildlife species, biomes and more varied threats across the frontier, making the Wild West more dangerous than ever.

Additionally, we plan to evolve the level of polish and optimisation throughout Early Access. Crucially, our update plans will also be influenced by community feedback and suggestions.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Red Rust Pioneers currently features the core mechanics and gameplay needed to deliver a great Wild West survival experience: camp building, hunting, foraging, crafting, fishing, farming and more.

Vital to the survival gameplay, our game world currently includes a variety of weather conditions and dangerous wildlife. The whole game can also be played in single player or in online co-op multiplayer.

There are likely to be bugs present, and with the larger updates there is also a possibility of save games becoming incompatible and possibly wiped.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will increase as we add more features and get closer to the final version of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We very much want to encourage our players to suggest features and give us feedback on their platforms of choice. This is the reason we're launching in Early Access and we hope that everyone can share their thoughts to help us shape this into a brilliant game.”

Red Rust Pioneers combines the survival mechanics of ARK: Survival Evolved, The Forest, 7 Days to Die, Valheim and Rust with the Wild West environments of Red Dead Redemption 2 and Outlaws of the Old West.

Your story begins stranded in the unforgiving wilderness of the Wild West.

Your one goal: to survive.

Endure scorching days and freezing nights as you battle hunger, thirst, and the elements. Forage for food, hunt wildlife, and fish to stay alive. Scavenge the land to gather vital resources and craft the tools and weapons you’ll need to stand a chance in this brutal but breathtaking frontier.

Can you master the elements and withstand blistering heat, violent rainstorms and freezing cold winters?

Should you beat the odds and live, alone or with up to three friends, you’ll find yourself in a gorgeous, rugged, vibrant land. Will you be able to not only survive, but thrive?
