Why Early Access?

“Last Course is my first game, and I’m building it as a solo developer with a passion for strategy and survival gameplay. Early Access gives me the opportunity to involve players in shaping the game - from balance and pacing to new features and quality-of-life improvements. I want to create a tactical experience that’s both fun and fair, and your feedback will be key in making that happen.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan for Last Course to remain in Early Access for several months, with the goal of releasing the full version by the end of the year. However, the timeline may shift depending on player feedback and the addition of new features. My priority is to ensure the game feels polished, balanced, and complete before the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The current version of Last Course includes a core set of features and mechanics that I’ve designed based on the genres I love—turn-based tactics, survival, and asymmetric multiplayer. However, many of these features haven’t been fully tested yet, and I expect player feedback to play a huge role in refining or expanding them. The full version will ideally include improved balancing, more content, better polish, and additional gameplay systems shaped by the community. I'm excited to hear your suggestions and will do my best to incorporate ideas that fit the vision of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Last Course includes most of the core gameplay features and systems. A portion of the game is fully playable, with turn-based combat, character progression, and equipment mods already implemented. The PvP multiplayer mode is still in development and may be unstable or incomplete in early builds, but it’s a key part of the game and will continue to be improved over time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No. The price will remain the same during and after Early Access. I want to keep the game affordable and fair for everyone, whether you join early or later.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Players are welcome to share their thoughts and suggestions anytime through the Steam Discussions page. I'm also planning to include an in-game suggestion feature to make it even easier to send feedback directly while playing. I’ll be actively reading, taking notes and I’m excited to build a better game together with the community.”

About This Game

Last Course is a turn-based tactical game set in a brutal zombie apocalypse where teamwork is not just encouraged - it’s essential. Whether you're coordinating as a squad of survivors trying to reach the final location, or playing as the infected determined to stop them, every match is a tense, strategic showdown between two sides with different strengths.

CHARACTERS

Choose from a diverse roster of characters on both sides - each with their own playstyle, and role in combat. Survivors rely on firearms, consumable, and reusable equipment, while the infected unleash powerful inhuman abilities.

MODS

Players can experiment with different builds by selecting one of two mod options for each equipment/ability. Mods become active as characters level up and shape their strategy and playstyle.

ACTION POINTS

Each turn is powered by a randomly determined pool of shared action points. Players must cooperate, plan their moves carefully, prioritize actions, and adapt to the shifting conditions on the battlefield.

LOCATIONS

Every few rounds, a new location is drawn, lasting for a set duration and introducing effects that impact one or both sides.
