About This Game

The Good, The Bad & The Monkey: Welcome to a place where you'll sometimes laugh, and sometimes laugh even harder.

“The Good, The Bad & The Monkey” is a game of the good and the bad. But here, you decide who’s good and who’s bad. Around this 5-player table, there will be times you laugh, times you laugh even more, but most of the time—you’ll laugh a lot! Shape your playstyle with five different types of cards. Collect Good cards, dodge Bad ones, and see if you’ll end up being a “Good” or a “Bad” player.

About the Game

  • The Good, The Bad & The Monkey is an online card game for up to 5 players. The game features five types of cards: Good, Bad, Joker, Heal-Bill, and Peek-o-Boo.

  • Before starting, you can either build your own deck from these cards, or simply begin with Good and Bad cards. (We recommend starting with the basics first, then spicing up your strategy with the other cards.)

  • When players join, each receives 5 cards. The first player creates a packet from their hand and plays it to the center. Others then draw from that packet. The main goal: be the first to reveal 4 Good cards.

  • If a player draws a Bad card, they must roll a die—and depending on the result, the TNT crate they’re sitting on might just explode!

Gameplay

  • The starting player is chosen at random. They build a packet of 1–5 cards from their hand and place it on the table. Players then take turns revealing cards from that packet.

  • Revealing a Good card allows you to keep going. Revealing a Bad card forces you to roll the die, bringing you closer to the TNT limit. If the total exceeds the limit, you literally blow up and return to the game as a monkey to mess with the others.

  • If you already have Good cards on the table and then reveal a Bad card, all your Good cards return to your hand and you must roll the dice.

  • If you have no cards in front of you and draw a Bad, the Bad stays on the table. When you later draw a Good, both return to your hand.

  • Special cards trigger their unique effects immediately when drawn, then return to the player’s hand.

Good

The players' main goal to win is to reveal 4 Good cards. As players reveal Good cards, they may continue drawing from the pack.

Bad

Cancels your Good cards, forces you to roll the dice

Joker

Counts as a Good for the player who played the pack, but as a Bad for everyone else.

Heal-Bill

Resets the player’s chance (luck counter). The card then returns to their hand.

Peek-o-Boo

Reveals the contents of the current packet, then returns to the player’s hand
