What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I published my game for Early Access because there's an audience for my game.
I want to build an awesome game community of Kollectomaniacs and help get feedback, support & funds to make my indie-dev dreams come true!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

Hopefully a Year.
I would love to get all my ideas out into the world by tomorrow, but I don't want to rush my game.
If I spend more than a year in early access, it's for quality sake.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The base gameplay loop of Kollectomaniac is fun, and addicting but can get stale.

Before the final release, I want to add many different areas to explore, including a point-and-click adventure portion to part of the game.

There will be new characters to talk to & get money from!
New places to gather the items you sell at your shop!
Cross-Save goals, which teach you more about the game & lets you unlock new areas!

Without giving away too much, the final version of the game will add even more genres, including Puzzles, Inventory Management, Exploration, and Psychological horror.

I plan to release small portions of the final version as I make them, giving players a taste of what's coming next!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The early versions of Kollectomaniac are simply fast-paced, shop-keeping clicker games.
With many items in the game to collect & achievements to reach, the game still has a lot to it.
The early access game builds are far from the final product but still have a lot to offer to new players.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game's price will NOT change during early access, other than discounts.
The price will most likely change slightly upon full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I look to my community for feedback, constructive criticism, bug submissions, and support to keep me working!
Please join the official community pages: (Reddit, Steam, Discord)
If you find any bugs, please submit them on Discord or email me at KollectomaniacBugSubmit@gmail.com
I've never felt right adding assets that I didn't make into my Steam games, so although I do love fan works of any kind, I will often not use ideas directly given by fans or add fan-made assets.
If I ever do that, they would get a spot in the credits and be asked directly for permission.”

About This Game

Kollectomaniac is a game about running a shop in the woods on a log. You work for a man named Dlarlnod, your landlord.

"Work at my shop for free, all you have to do is pay me rent every four days."

-Dlarlnod

You buy items from weird people called Walkers.

There are nine walkers, each with distinct and slightly random personalities.

These personalities change how skittish they are, affect item prices, and give each walker a distinct feel.

Each playthrough starts the same: You purchase your first items, and spend any leftover money on the "Display Stand", which lets you sell those items back to the walkers.

By saving up money and learning the average price of items, you can spend any spare cents at the shop!

The worm sells various items including hats, mechanical "statistic trackers" and items you can use during the buying and selling phase of the game.

What's the Goal? Survive.
Every five days is Collection Day. If you can't make Collection Day: You must surrender...
