About This Game

What is this?

PreStrafe is a direct homage that recreates all of the movement mechanics of The Specialists, a Half-life mod with unique movement abilities that allows full creative freedom in your approach to your environment, these include:

• Dive

• Walldive

• Walljump

• Wallflip

• Roll

• Flip

Plus all of the many aspects of GoldSrc movement mechanics, bunny-hopping, prestrafing, air strafing, wallstrafing, surfing, ramp trimping, and more.

Gamemodes.

Time Trial is the main mode where you compete against others and your personal best times. Freeroam is a sandbox mode where you can freely practice your skills without the stress.

Custom levels.

Use the built-in level editor, upload to workshop, subscribe and play with friends, and edit existing workshop maps to your liking.

Release and other features?

Planned features include cosmetics and other character customization, profile ranks, and rewards for top records. Release is set for Summer 2025 or earlier.

Will there be combat?

PreStrafe is primarily a movement oriented game, no further than that. Melee, guns, gun-fu, bullet time, all of the things we love from The Specialists will come under a different title.
