What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We’re bringing You’re Here Again into Early Access because community involvement is essential to how we’re building this game. As a small indie team, Early Access gives us the opportunity to expand our testing pool, gather meaningful feedback, and uncover issues that are hard to detect internally, especially in a fast-paced movement shooter where feel and responsiveness matter.
We’ve already integrated tools to help such as in-game bug reporting so players can easily send us detailed reports. But to truly refine gameplay, improve performance, and ensure the experience feels right across a wide range of systems, we need a larger and more diverse group of players actively engaging with the game.
A core part of our development process is community-driven shaping. We want players to help influence the direction of You’re Here Again throughout Early Access, whether that’s suggesting refinements to the movement system, providing feedback on level flow, or helping us prioritize what content should come next. Alongside bug-fixing and optimization, your reactions, preferences, and ideas will directly impact how the game grows.
To make communication easy, we’ve set up a dedicated Discord where players can talk directly with the developers, share feedback, and be part of the ongoing conversation around the game’s development.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“3 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version of You’re Here Again, we plan to expand and refine the experience in several ways. One of our main goals is to improve the overall flow of the levels, making each environment feel more cohesive and better tied into the game’s themes. We also plan to introduce more unusual, weird, and wacky content that builds on the game’s identity and keeps the experience surprising and fun.
In addition, we aim to enhance the visual style of the game by adding more distinctive elements, refining the atmosphere, and increasing the overall uniqueness and visual attraction of each area. As development continues, our focus will be on taking the core of what makes You’re Here Again enjoyable and pushing it further through improved level design, expanded content, and stronger artistic direction.
While these are our current intentions, community feedback during Early Access will play a large role in shaping which ideas grow, shift, or evolve over time. We plan to add secret levels and challenges for all levels.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version includes the Tutorial layer, the Memory layer, the Intellect layer, and the Energy Layer. This brings the total to 33 levels, which is what we also aim to release in the completed game, just with a more refined introduction of the mechanics and a more visually appealing appearance.

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we hope at full release to have different region pricing. making it more affordable for countries whose dollar is not so competitive. we also want to raise the price as we head towards the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community directly throughout the development of You’re Here Again. Players will be able to share feedback through multiple channels, including our in-game bug reporting system and our Discord server, where they can talk directly with the developers. This helps us quickly identify issues, understand how players are experiencing the game, and adjust our priorities based on what the community cares about most.
We also plan to use community input to help shape future content, guide changes to level flow, and refine movement and gameplay feel. Throughout Early Access, we expect to release updates influenced by player suggestions, discussions, and testing. Our goal is to make the development of You’re Here Again collaborative, giving players a voice in how the game evolves and ensuring the final experience reflects the community that helped build it.”

About This Game

In this surreal, weirdcore fast-paced movement shooter, awaken in a distorted afterlife and master a wide range of mobility mechanics, including wall running, sliding, and grappling, to propel yourself through the strange architecture and enemies you will encounter. Learn new ways to combo these together with your ever-growing arsenal of weapons in order to tear through the creatures that haunt this strange new realm.

Every level pulls you deeper into an ever-stranger afterlife where you feel your identity slowly coming apart. The spaces feel familiar but wrong, small elements reminding you of the man you were before, all distorted and unfinished as if it was all just a dream. Your only way forward is speed, precision, and learning how to bend the game’s systems until they break.

Compete for leaderboard dominance across meticulously crafted levels, balancing speed against score as you route perfect runs. Defeat bosses to unlock new layers of the world… then do it all again, but cleaner, faster, and with a higher rank. How fast can you reach the end and find yourself here again?

MOVEMENT AS A CORE WEAPON

  • Slam: Drop down, gaining momentum to transfer into insane slides or jumps to fly across gaps.

  • Conserve Momentum: String jumps, portals, and bouncy mushrooms together to stay in constant flow.

COMBAT THAT FEEDS YOUR SPEED

Our combat system is built to interact with how you move:

  • Velocity-Based Damage: Go faster to hit harder. Your speed charges a critical bar, turning every hit you do into a critical strike.

  • Strategic Arsenal: Unlock a variety of weapons, each with unique roles, synergies, and links to movement.

  • Weapon Movement Exclusives: Propel yourself with explosions, grapple your own projectiles, or utilise recoil to boost your speed even more.

  • Adapt or Fail: Fight over 10 different enemy types and variants that force you to adapt your routes and force split-second decisions.

  • Epic Boss Confrontations: Test your skills against 3 major bosses that guard new layers of the afterlife and test everything you’ve learned.
