Why Early Access?

“As a tiny indie team of just three developers, building Few Shall Return has been a labor of pure passion. We have successfully built a fully playable, stable core game that we are incredibly proud of. However, to realize our full vision, the game needs a lot more content, features, and polish.

Launching in Early Access allows us to secure the financial support needed to fund the rest of development while remaining entirely independent. Most importantly, it gives us the opportunity to build the game alongside our community, using your feedback to shape the final experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to be in Early Access between 6 and 12 months”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to significantly expand the overall scope of Few Shall Return for the full release. While the core loop is already playable, we intend to use the Early Access period to add a substantial amount of new content such as rooms, weapons, and even characters. Furthermore, we plan to introduce new gameplay mechanics and potentially explore entirely new game modes.

The exact direction of these additions will be heavily shaped by the feedback, suggestions, and balancing data we receive from our community during Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of Few Shall Return is fully playable, stable, and features a complete core gameplay loop. All of our primary systems and mechanics are fully functional.

Currently, the game completely supports multiplayer for up to 8 players, meaning you and your friends can jump in and experience the full core game right now. It is a solid, polished foundation, but it currently lacks the total variety of content that we plan to add throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We believe the best games are built with players, not just for them. Because we are a small team of three, you have a direct line straight to the developers.

We invite everyone to join our official Discord server, which will serve as our main town square. There, you can chat with us, report bugs, and pitch feature ideas. We plan to be highly active in the community, sharing regular development updates, hosting polls for upcoming content, and actively shaping our roadmap based on what you find most fun.”
