About This Game

Play as Asuka Sakai, a student with something to prove.
Her rivals are talented, annoying, and quick to get jealous when she starts pulling ahead. Luckily, she doesn't have to face them alone.

A Fusion of Old and New

ASUKA combines modern colourful, anime-inspired visuals and character-driven storytelling with weighty, physics-focused handling popularized by classic Japanese arcade racers. Every car feels different. Every drivetrain handles differently. Every engine position changes how the car behaves. Front-engine, rear-engine, mid-engine. each has its own personality.

Diverse JDM Cars and Customization

Choose from 90+ cars and make each one your own. Fine-tune engines, transmissions, suspension and exhaust systems, then use the dyno to analyse power, torque and air-fuel ratios. Create custom liveries and add auras and charms for extra visual flair.

Iconic Japanese Locations

Race through stylized recreations of Japan’s mountain passes, ranging from short 1–2 km sprints to demanding 6–10 km courses. Weather conditions and a full day-and-night cycle give every route its own atmosphere and challenges.

Live the Racing Life

Chill out in ASUKA’s bedroom between races, collect chibi cars and manage life as a racing enthusiast. Read emails to catch up on gossip, take on circuit exams issued by the Racing Academy, accept rival invitations and discover special gymkhana events. Build friendships, make enemies and become part of the local racing scene!

"ASUKA x Redline Reverie" is a work in progress by two developers built for Windows PC as an offline single-player game only.

Steering Wheel Support

ASUKA x Redline Reverie supports racing wheels directly through Direct Input on Windows 64 bit only.

First time setup

Nothing is bound automatically. This is deliberate, and it is what lets most of the wheels work in the game, including models we have never tested. Setup takes about a minute and you only do it once.

• Connect your wheel before starting the game.

• Open Options, then Controls.

• Click the row you want to set, for example Throttle.

• Move that control all the way, then release it.
  Pedal: press it to the floor.
  Steering: turn to full lock.
  Shifter: push fully into the gate.
  Paddle or button: press it.

• Repeat for each row you want.

Use the full travel of every control. The game learns how far your control moves from what it sees you do, so a small nudge will make that control far too sensitive afterwards.

After binding steering, turn the wheel all the way left and then all the way right once. That sets your full steering range.

Put an H pattern shifter in neutral before you bind anything.

Your bindings and calibration save automatically and are remembered between sessions. You can rebind any row at any time.
