What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“MR. M is being released in Early Access so we can develop and refine the game together with our community. The core gameplay systems are already playable, but we want to use player feedback to improve balancing, trading mechanics, resource management, events, and overall pacing.

During Early Access, we plan to expand the game with new customers, items, encounters, story events, economic systems, and additional gameplay mechanics. Player feedback will be especially important in helping us balance the barter economy and shape future content.

Our goal is to build MR. M into a deeper and more polished survival trading experience while staying true to its core concept.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We currently expect MR. M to remain in Early Access for approximately 6 to 12 months. However, this timeframe may change depending on player feedback, development progress, and the amount of content we decide to add. Our priority is to ensure that the full release reaches the level of quality and depth we envision for the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of MR. M to offer a significantly expanded experience compared to the Early Access version. Our current plans include more customers, items, trading opportunities, story events, factions, reputation systems, and a deeper dynamic economy.

We also intend to expand resource management, security and defense mechanics, as well as systems related to sending agents outside the shelter and dealing with the consequences of their actions.

The full release is planned to feature a more complete narrative, additional moral choices, multiple possible outcomes, improved balancing, more polished visuals and audio, and an overall more refined gameplay experience.

The exact scope may evolve during Early Access based on development progress and player feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current Early Access version of MR. M contains the core foundation of the game and is fully playable. Players can interact with customers, trade items, manage their inventory and resources, and experience the main shelter environment and its core gameplay loop.

The game is still in active development, and some systems, content, balancing, animations, audio, and visual elements are not yet representative of the final version. During Early Access, we plan to expand the number of customers, items, events, interactions, and gameplay systems while continuously improving the overall experience.

The current version is intended to provide a solid representation of MR. M's core concept while allowing us to build a deeper and more complete experience throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We currently plan to offer MR. M at a lower price during Early Access. As the game receives more content, systems, features, and overall polish, the price may increase over time and is expected to be higher at full release.

Any price changes will reflect the amount of content and development progress of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan to involve the community throughout Early Access by actively collecting feedback, suggestions, and bug reports from players.

Player feedback will be especially important for balancing the barter economy, resource management, difficulty, customer interactions, events, and the overall pacing of the game. We also want to hear which systems players enjoy most and which areas need improvement.

We plan to communicate with the community through Steam Discussions and future development updates, sharing changes and gathering feedback as development continues. While the overall vision of MR. M will remain consistent, community feedback will help us refine and improve the experience throughout Early Access.”

About This Game

The world has collapsed. Money is worthless.

Food, clean water, medicine, fuel, and ammunition have become the true currencies of the new world.

You are Marlo, a trader isolated from the hell outside, sitting on one of the best-protected stockpiles left from the old world. You do not open your doors to anyone. You deal with survivors through a heavy steel hatch, trying to understand how desperate they are—and how much their desperation is worth.

Every day, different people will come to your door.

  • A father may beg for antibiotics for his sick child.
  • A stranger may offer you a gold bar that looks valuable but is practically useless in the new world.
  • A trader may try to deceive you.
  • Someone may be there only to learn how well your shelter is protected.

You decide who to trust, who to help, and what an item is truly worth when scarcity determines everything.

Trade. Negotiate. Survive.

MR. M has no fixed prices. Events in the world can constantly change the value of goods. An outbreak can make antibiotics priceless, while a brutal winter can turn fuel into one of the most valuable resources available.

Read the market, manage your stockpile, and find a way to grow your resources before they run out.

Read the People Behind the Hatch

You never get the full picture of the person standing outside.

Their voice, their words, the items they offer, and subtle details in their behavior may be your only clues to their true intentions.

Can you tell the difference between a desperate civilian and a raider scouting your defenses?

Every time the hatch opens, you take a risk.

Manage Your Stockpile

You may have more resources than most survivors could ever dream of, but nothing lasts forever.

Keep track of food, water, medicine, ammunition, and other supplies. Add what you acquire to your inventory, remove what you trade away, and do not neglect your own hunger, thirst, and need for rest.

Even the richest man in the new world has nothing once his shelves are empty.

People Remember Your Decisions

Build relationships with survivor communities and factions.

Helping a settlement may earn their trust. Exploiting them may bring greater profits in the short term—but every decision has consequences.

The people you refuse to help today may refuse to trade with you tomorrow. And if someone betrays you, you may eventually become the person who decides their fate.

Protect What You Have

Your shelter is your greatest strength—and it also makes you one of the most valuable targets left in the world.

Check your security cameras, manage your defenses, and make sure there is no threat waiting outside before you sleep.

Once people understand how much wealth is hidden behind your steel doors, not everyone who comes to trade will come in peace.

MR. M is a narrative-driven survival trading game combining barter economics, resource management, psychological tension, and moral choices.

The world outside is rotting.

Inside, everything has a price.
