Why Early Access?

“Our goal with Blood Reaver is to build on the wave-shooter genre by expanding its core systems and adding new content over time. We are using Early Access to continue actively developing the game, including core gameplay systems, features, and content.

Blood Reaver is not feature-complete. Core systems are still in development and will continue to change, evolve, and expand throughout Early Access. Some features may also be added, reworked, or removed during development as the game progresses.

We are working with the community to help shape development direction, with player feedback influencing gameplay systems, features, and future content priorities.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Blood Reaver to remain in Early Access for approximately 1–2 years, depending on development progress and feedback during development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Blood Reaver will be significantly expanded compared to the Early Access version. It will include additional content, expanded systems, and further-developed gameplay mechanics.

Planned features are currently in active development and may change, be reworked, or be cut during Early Access. These include:

- Narrative Easter Eggs, allowing players to complete hidden objectives to unlock secrets across maps
- Meta-progression systems that allow players to customise and modify abilities outside of matches
- New enemy types and more challenging variants of existing enemies

In addition to new content, core gameplay systems will continue to evolve based on testing and community feedback throughout Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Blood Reaver is currently in a playable but actively evolving state. The current version represents an early stage of the intended core experience, which is still being developed and will continue to change throughout Early Access.

The game supports both solo and multiplayer gameplay. Players can select loadouts, fight through wave-based encounters, and collect upgrades during runs. The current build includes a range of weapons with upgrades, several abilities, one medium map, standard enemy types, and a boss enemy.

The game is in active development, and core systems, content, balance, and performance are all ongoing areas of work that will continue to change and improve over time.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the price of Blood Reaver as new content and systems are added during Early Access. Any price changes will reflect the ongoing development and expansion of the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is a core part of the development process for Blood Reaver. We encourage players to join our official Discord and share feedback through in-game channels.

We use this feedback to guide decisions around gameplay systems, balance, progression, and future content priorities. Player input will directly influence how features evolve throughout development.

We also use reports from players to identify issues, improve stability, and refine systems as the game continues to develop.”
