THE VARGINHA MYSTERY

A farmer wakes up in a dark alley with a strange artifact implanted into his wrist. All around him, the citizens of Varginha spiral into paranoia and fear; objects levitate and vanish into thin air, while mysterious Monoliths emerge alongside a cursed mist.

Unable to comprehend the threat, fear divides the population into rumors and wild theories. Distrust in official news reports runs rampant: some see the hand of the Devil himself behind the chaos; others fear angry ghosts and restless spirits, while a few mock it as just another unfinished town hall project. Caught between accusations of government abandonment and desperate attempts to prove academic theories, it falls upon you to face the truth: raise your pitchfork, fight the unknown, and purge the evil plaguing Varginha.

• Visceral and Stealth Combat: The dark event that scarred you left behind abnormal and unsettling abilities. Use your pitchfork to dismember these unholy threats. Rely on stealth to hunt the aberrations from the shadows, or face them head-on with parry mechanics and brutal executions.
  
  

• Cross the Frequency Rift: Your reality has been shattered. Travel perilously between the normal dimension and a dangerous, suffocating alternate rift. Use this traversal to confront the absolute terrors lurking in the dark on the other side and forge your path forward.
  
  

• The Cosmic Monolith and the Harvest: Survival demands bizarre sacrifices. Utilize the core "Harvest" mechanic to rescue the essences of the animals taken to the other dimension. Offer talismans and Sanity to the Cosmic Monoliths to upgrade your attributes, recover your sanity, and evolve your arsenal.
  
  

• Manage Your Sanity: The human mind was not made to witness the abominations corrupting your crops. Deal with constant sanity-breaking events and strike with swift violence to stay lucid before the horror consumes you completely.
