About This Game

Carve. Detonate. Last one driving wins.

Every shot redraws the map. No health bars, just mass destruction. CarveLight is a turn-based, physics-driven artillery game where you pilot a car across crumbling 2D terrain, and the only way to win is to blast your rivals into the death zone below.

Lasers cut the ground into pieces, grenades punch craters, and a single misplaced shot can drop the floor out from under you. Take aim, mind the angles, and carve a path to victory.

A fully destructible world

There's no static cover here. The terrain is the game. Weapons carve, blast, and reshape the ground, so the arena you start on is rubble by the end. Collapse a ledge onto an enemy, reposition to safety, or carve away the ground they're parked on and let gravity finish the job.

An arsenal that reshapes the map

  • Lasers: thick beams that carve clean slices through terrain

  • Timed grenades: laser, stencil, push, and pull grenades. Set the fuse and bank the bounce

  • Force Push: shove cars and debris out of your way, or off a cliff

  • Girders: build brand-new terrain mid-match to bridge gaps or wall yourself in

  • Thrusters, Super Jump & Low Gravity: defy laws of physics and reach new heights

  • Teleport, Swap, and more: reposition when the ground betrays you

Physics that doesn't take sides

Cars tumble, debris rolls, and bolted terrain pieces swing around. The whole simulation is deterministic. Line up a bounce, ride a blast, or watch it all go down in glory. What you see is exactly what happens.

Bring friends

Battle up to four players in online lobbies or pass-the-controller local multiplayer. Tune every match to taste, from the number of cars to turn length to per-player weapon loadouts, then settle it on the terrain of your choice.

Build, share, and play community maps

A full in-game map editor lets you sculpt levels from scratch and drop straight into a match. Publish your creations to the Steam Workshop and subscribe to an ever-growing library of community battlegrounds. New arenas are one click away.

Solo Challenges

Single-player, objective-based puzzles that put the toolkit to the test. Knock every enemy car off the map, or thread your way from point A to point B on a strictly limited supply of weapons. Each layout hides a solution. Can you find it?
