A calvinball deckbuilding card game where you play as one of the whimsical Meeples returning from an adventure with a bounty of rocks. In this card game, you collect pebble cards to exchange for other cards, build a Show & Tell, and change the rules on how to determine each game's victor.

Wozu Early Access?

„Early Access allows us to gather player feedback on gameplay balance, card interactions, and overall feel, while also helping us identify and resolve issues we may have missed.

While the core experience is fully playable, we plan to continue refining balance, expanding progression systems such as achievements and unlockables, and adding additional polish based on community feedback.“

„We currently expect Rock Beats Rock to remain in Early Access for approximately three to four months. This timeline may adjust as we incorporate player feedback and continue refining the experience.“

„The current Early Access version is fully playable in both single player and two-player modes. All core gameplay systems are implemented, including deck building and core card interactions.

In Rock Beats Rock, sit down and join the childlike Meeples as they create a game out of the rocks found during their previous adventures. Gather pebbles and exchange them for even cooler rocks from the Card Shark to compete in having the best rock collection!

Collect pebbles and trade them for stronger, stranger, and more powerful rocks. Carefully construct your deck and adapt your strategy as each match evolves.

  • Create your own decks from a wide variety of rock cards

  • Compete in multiplayer matches against other players

  • Manage your resources and optimize your plays

  • Outsmart your opponent with clever decisions and timing

The rules aren’t fixed.

Use special cards to modify how the game works mid-match, creating unpredictable situations and forcing both players to constantly adapt. No two games play out the same way.

Use different kinds of cards to build your strategy and control the game:

  • Rock Cards — your main cards. They score points and stay on the board.

  • Rule Cards — change how the game works during the match.

  • Ruckus Cards — one-time actions to attack, disrupt, or gain an advantage.

Combine your cards, adapt to changing rules, and find the best way to win!
