What's in the Demo?

This Demo showcases our core systems, the "feel" of paranormal investigation, and overall player experience before we scale for our upcoming Early Access release. We are building a stable foundation first - focusing on mechanical depth over filler.

The Scope

• 3 Detectives & 5 Devices: Test the essential kits and containment gear.

• 1 Map (Clearview Hospital): A high-tension, recently evacuated hospital.

• 5+ Emergent Entities: Unpredictable AI that behaves based on player action and the environment - no scripted jumpscares.

• Field Training: Fully playable tutorial level to learn the basic mechanics and mission protocol.

• E.S.C. Headquarters: A 3D social hub to team up and socialize between missions.

The Game

I. ORIENTATION

Welcome to the Essential Services Coordination (E.S.C.). A paranormal phenomenon designated as ████████ is destabilizing the global population. E.S.C. is tasked with cataloging █████████, identifying aggressive ████████, and sealing the ████████. The Research & Analytics Department asserts that public knowledge of ████████ increases the rate at which ████████ materialize. Therefore, your presence at the site is strictly confidential. Follow the protocol to prevent mass hysteria and keep ████████ at bay.

II. THE PROTOCOL: ASYMMETRIC CO-OP

Missions require analytical coordination across two distinct roles due to the ███████ nature of the phenomenon:

• Field Agents: Deploy directly into the active ██████ site. Use agency-issued equipment to find and measure traces of The ██████, and observe how ████████ react to understand their character.

• The Operator: Command the mission from the Armored Response Vehicle (A.R.V.). Monitor team vitals, track general threat levels, view live security camera feeds, and compare collected evidence. Keep comms clear; assisting Field Agents increases mission efficiency.
  
  

E.S.C. Mission Protocol:

• Protocol 01 - Experiment & Observe: ████████ challenge predictable patterns of behavior; they actively ███████ and █████ to your noise, light usage, and movement. Conduct calculated, observation-based experiments to understand their hidden rules. (Refer to R&A guidebook, Ch. 12, Entanglement)

• Protocol 02 - Provoke to Identify: Following the rules keeps you alive, but it will not close the ██████. There are many types of ████████. To discover their true identity and initiate ███████████, your team must strategically trigger paranormal events by breaking their rules.

• Protocol 03 - Submit Your Report: Once your team has gathered enough evidence, cross-reference your findings at the Operator Station. Select the ones you believe define the ██████ and submit your identification report. ███████████ depends on accurate identification.

• Asymmetric Tactical Co-Op: Choose your risk profile. Command the mission from relative safety as the Operator, or brave the immediate paranormal threat on the ground as Field Agents.

• Behavioral Action-Reaction Engine: The threat is watching your every move. Entities monitor player noise, light, and movement in real time, altering their hostility based on how well your team follows - or breaks - the hidden rules.

• Grounded Neo-Noir Atmosphere: Investigate recently evacuated public spaces designed to subvert everyday environments into zones of intense psychological tension.

• Multi-layered Investigation: Moving beyond binary evidence tools, survival is a cognitive puzzle. Test theories through deliberate behavioral violations, isolate your findings, and contain the phenomenon before the site is lost.
