What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“From day one, we’ve been developing the game together with our players. Many ideas born in the community have already found their way into the game world, and that’s exactly what inspires us to keep going. For an MMO, listening to the community is especially important, since it’s the real players who give this genre its meaning. Launching in Early Access is a continuation of our tradition: to listen to players, discuss the project’s future with them, and build together that very World of Sea Battle you’ll want to return to again and again.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Early Access to last at least a year and a half. We have our own vision and ambitious plans, but community feedback and financial support will strongly influence how quickly we can move forward.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim to expand the game’s scope by introducing unique faction-specific features, enriching the narrative, adding more cooperative gameplay, and broadening the lineup of ships from different nations. We also plan to implement new mechanics that will make battles and exploration more diverse and engaging.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“While development is still ongoing, you can already feel the atmosphere of the World of Sea Battle. There is a vast map to explore, with over 60 customisable ships of different classes, guilds, city conquests, PvE modes, an arena with unique rewards and seasonal rankings, faction wars, open-sea raids, and much more. We continue to expand the content actively, but even now, the game is ready to offer you hundreds of hours of adventure.
”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“It will not. The game will remain completely free, both during Early Access and after the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We treat player feedback with care and share our plans regularly. We publish roadmaps, post developer diaries, and announcements. In our official Discord server, you can discuss the game, share ideas, or simply chat with other players and developers. We also plan to run surveys, rewarding participants with small in-game bonuses.”

About This Game

World of Sea Battle is a massive open-world MMO set in the Age of Sail, where every captain shares the same sea but charts their own course. Hunt pirates, cross swords with other players, explore distant shores, haul cargo and grow your fleet. The economy is in the players' hands, and guilds wage war for territory.

Weigh anchor in a humble schooner and rise to command a 100-gun first-rate ship of the line. Over 50 historical sailing ships from the 16th to 19th centuries await: schooners, galleons, brigantines and frigates. Upgrade your ships, refit their gear, change their look and build a fleet that suits the way you sail.

Set sail into the unknown. The whole Archipelago is one seamless sea, from the warm southern islands to the icy north. Merchants, pirates and other captains sail it alongside you, and any sail on the horizon could be prey or a threat. Past the edge of the map lies the Endless Sea, uncharted and full of danger.

Watch the wind, change course and pick your moment for a broadside. Round shot smashes hulls, bar shot tears sails and grapeshot cuts down crews. Enemy too heavily armored? Set it ablaze with heated shot. The right shot at the right moment can decide the battle. And if cannons aren't enough, close in on your enemy and board their ship.

Every captain chooses their own path to fortune. Haul goods between regions: tobacco and wine from the south, iron from the north. Turn raw materials into finished goods and sell them to other players on the exchange. Or load your hold with fishing gear and go looking for shoals: the catch feeds your crew, and what's left sells for a good price. Tired of honest work? Board merchant ships and sell the contents of their holds in port.

Amass enough gold and you can buy a private island of your own. It becomes your fleet's stronghold and a hub of commerce, with riches flowing in from distant mines and workshops.

Even the most seasoned captain needs a crew they can trust. Form a flotilla with friends to conquer the seas together and gain the upper hand on the waves. Ready for more? Join a guild, fight for ports, plot political intrigue and challenge for control of the Archipelago.
