“We anticipate that Backrooms: Extractions will remain in Early Access until we have reached our desired goals in terms of levels, entities, and the overall Backrooms experience we aim to deliver. This timeframe will give us the opportunity to add content, improve performance, and integrate community feedback as we continue refining the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the final version of Backrooms: Extractions to include more levels, additional high-quality entities, graphical and sound improvements, and an enriched progression system. Our goal is to refine cooperative gameplay and enhance replayability based on community feedback. We also plan to refine cooperative gameplay and enhance replayability. Additionally, we will actively listen to the community to integrate requested features and improve existing ones.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is already fully playable in both solo and co-op modes. It features seven distinct levels, each offering a unique atmosphere and various challenges. Players can explore, solve puzzles, and escape the entities haunting the Backrooms. The progression system is in place but will be further improved through updates.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually increase the game's price as new content and features are added. Early Access provides an opportunity for players to obtain the game at a lower price while participating in its evolution.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will actively listen to player feedback via Steam forums, social media, and our Discord server. Polls and testing sessions will be organized to gather opinions on new features before their final implementation. Our goal is to create a game that meets player expectations while staying true to our vision for the project.”

About This Game

Set in the year 2062, players are equipped with advanced technology that allows them to enter and exit the Backrooms at will. The MEG, originally formed by those trapped inside the Backrooms, has since evolved into a structured organization operating both within and outside the Backrooms. Now established in the real world, the MEG oversees controlled exploration and rescue operations. As part of this expanded initiative, players' missions begin in the real world before venturing into the Backrooms to extract lost operatives. Every mission becomes a race against time to locate these lost team members, transmit their coordinates to the MEG, and ensure their extraction while navigating terrifying entities and oppressive environments.

Backrooms Extractions offers a flexible experience, allowing players to venture into the Backrooms solo for a tense and immersive journey or team up with up to 5 others for a cooperative challenge. Backrooms Extractions launches in Early Access with 8 distinct levels, each offering unique challenges and eerie atmospheres: Lobby, Habitable Zone, Paradise, Attic Floorboard, Utility Halls, Fun, The End, and The Suburbs. More levels will be introduced throughout development to expand the depth and variety of the game world.

Puzzle Challenges

Each level in Backrooms Extractions features a unique puzzle or challenge that players must solve to unlock the exit and progress further. However, solving these puzzles is never a straightforward task—players must do so while evading the lurking entities that roam each level, adding constant tension and urgency to every move.

Entities of the Backrooms

Backrooms Extractions launches in Early Access with 7 terrifying entities, each with unique behaviors and threats: Smiler, Duller, Wretches, Hound, Transporter, Skin Stealer, and Party Goer. More entities will be introduced in future updates to expand the challenges and horrors lurking in the Backrooms.
