About This Game

Noga is my third game as a solo indie developer. It's a single-player story-based game in first-person, with shooting and driving mechanics.

You are the sole survivor of an alien attack on a military outpost where your friend was kidnapped.

Embark on a long and dangerous journey to try to save him and yourself in a world that has suddenly turned upside down and become a death trap.

As the story unfold you will discover the truth behind the alien invasion and the forces involved in it.

The story progresses in a world infested with aliens of various types, spaceships, mercenaries and people hiding and trying to survive.
You must fight for your life and the lives of the companions you have collected along the way, upgrade your weapons and vehicles, learn new skills, and investigate the events that led to the invasion.

The game takes place in Israel and goes through different places from the snowy north to desert south.

Main features:

First person control.

Fighting with ranged and melee weapons, and with car-mounted machine guns.

Inventory system and crafting.

Branching dialogues in NPCs' conversations.

Player character customization.

Stats, perks, and skills to develop as you level up.

Vehicle upgrades in workshops.

Local and global map with fast travel points.

The game's story and characters are fictional and any connection between them and real-life events is strictly coincidental.

The game has been in development since 2022.

Noga, my creative journey:

I started writing, designing, and producing the game Noga in 2022, by which time I had made two open-world RPG games. I developed the software that runs the game in Unity over 10 years, during which I repeatedly rewrote the code and various systems to improve and fix them. I wrote and translated the story with about a hundred different characters myself. The places you will visit in the game are places I have known personally at different times in my life, so there is more emphasis on the north of the country.

I have been creating animation and building 3D models for decades. In the last ten years, I learned how to create models for a computer game, which is a very specific skill, and so I made the vast majority of the models in the game myself and bought the rest from other professionals. I did all the design of the location maps and the environment in the last three years that I have been developing Noga.

The game has hundreds of sound files and thousands of dialogue files. The game was made without a support budget or a distribution company, and its sound was purchased from other professionals, and the dialogues for about a hundred characters were made by AI because it's better than no sound at all.

Being a solo creator is a crazy journey of learning perseverance and continuous hard work every day for about ten hours a day without a break, even on weekends and for years, so it has an additional financial price that in my opinion is worth the effort, but it's rare that other people are willing to pay it. For this reason, I work alone because otherwise games like this one would have never been created.

I hope you enjoy the game and appreciate the investment I put into it. This is not another corporate product made with big money and with the goal of returning more, but a work of art by a single person who is not willing to give up on a dream.
