Why Early Access?

“Because we have achieved a viable product that players want to play and is fun, even in its incomplete state. Being in early access will allow us to bring the full vision of the game and to collect feedback and make larger changes to the game that couldn't happen if it was 'final'.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We believe the game will be in Early Access for 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“For the full version we plan to add a lot of new & exciting stuff. This may include new areas, gameplay features and abilities.

We are also aiming to improve the graphical quality by using Unreal Engine 5, increasing texture fidelity, overhauling the lighting system and adding more dynamic elements to the world of Arcane Arena.

Audio is another aspect we hope to improve on in the full version. We want to overhaul some of the weaker audio moments and add more music and sound effects to make the game sound the best it can.

Finally, there are a number of quality of life features that are expected from by PC/Steam community and we want to ensure that Arcane Arena meets these expectations. Before the game is considered complete we plan to add achievements, full PC settings, accessibility options, controller support and cloud saving. Further Steam integration (like the workshop) is something we may also consider.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Arcane Arena is still in a very early state of development. We're still working away on a few maps and mechanics. It is an early stage build, currently being developed by our team. It is mostly feature complete, contains playable near-final quality maps and one blockout level.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We expect the price to increase for the final release in line with the complete product.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is important to us, and if you ever come across any bugs, or if you would like to suggest a game feature to us, please reach out to us!”
