What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I want to make Chip Crafters a fun game.
The current state of the project is at a stage in development where the core features have been developed. But it requires feedback from the community on how deep the content should go.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“A solo developer is actively developing this project, so updates will naturally take longer than most game titles. The exit from Early Access will happen around mid-2028.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to have a vastly bigger Tech tree that will include more recipes and deeper factory-building features.
Some core features that need to be added before exiting Early Access are.
- Final Game Endstate e.g., how do you win
- In-game finance, e.g., Taking Loans, viewing stats, etc...
- From Silicon to a final Chip will be more accurate to a real-world process; the current version is slimmed down.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Most core Mechanics and the core art style have been set.
A core Tech tree that allows you to build multiple machines and construct a lot of different recipes.
You can look at the "About This" section for Gif and Explanations.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“I will increase the price slightly when the game starts to reach the final product.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through the community forums and Discord server.
The community will have a lot of say in how this game is going to be built.”
