What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is in its final development phase, with most of its mechanics functional, but some additions and new content are still missing. As it is playable and already offers several hours of gameplay, it is being made available in early access while it is not yet 100% complete. The game may contain bugs, and certain elements available might undergo changes in future updates. We count on everyone's feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The estimated time is 6 months to 1 year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The final version is planned to have new gameplay mechanics, new weapons, new stages, new enemies, bosses in campaign stages, cutscenes with stories, narrated tales, bug fixes, improvements in gamepad support, and much more.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game already has the foundation of its main mechanics, various different enemies, a bestiary containing stories about each one of them, 3 weapons, a tutorial, and two complete stages. Additionally, it includes an infinite gameplay mode with a global leaderboard, where you can compete with your friends, and several achievements to challenge yourself.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will likely undergo a small increase, proportionate to the amount of content added to the game, but it will remain at an average low price.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“For those interested in helping with development, we are open to suggestions for improvements, mechanic additions, and modifications. In the game menu there is a link to the feedback form. In addition, we will be active in Steam discussions and on social media such as Instagram and Twitter. We will be posting updates on development and answering player questions.”

About This Game

Immerse yourself in an enigmatic story as you destroy all enemies in your path! With a unique combat mechanic based on the color of enemies and weapons. Collect letters to discover more about yourself. Eliminate as many enemies as possible to fill your Bestiary with terrifying tales and uncover the origin of your fears. Confront anxiety and depression head-on! Destroy your fears, eliminate your traumas, and free yourself from guilt. Your enemies are merely monsters created by your mind. So BLOW EVERYTHING UP!!!

Each weapon in your arsenal has two sides, just as each enemy has two colors. Attack the enemies with the corresponding colored side to hit them.
There are also enemies that flicker in black and white, blow them up as you wish!

Refidenptio tells the story of a boy who, tormented by fears and traumas he has carried throughout his life, decides to end his own life. And when finally, with the rope in hand and directed towards his neck, he pauses for a moment to reflect on his life and finds himself within his own mind, facing his fears and traumas in an attempt to overcome them and find a reason to live. The entire game takes place in this crucial moment where everything will be decided. Help him break free from his own restraints!

The fun doesn't end at the end of the campaign! Explore how far you can go in an endless game mode where your only limitation is your own skills. Face hordes and more hordes of enemies frantically and see how long you can survive and how many Eclipses you can endure.

A disturbed mind is filled with mazes, dead ends, crossroads, bridges, doors, platforms, traps, and winding paths. Fully explore the vast maps and uncover the secrets of each corner, encounter enemies, collect fragments of the story, and venture through an unknown and misunderstood world created by your mind.

In Refidenptio, enemies are representations of fears and traumas. Carry with you a Bestiary that contains a catalog of all of them. As you eliminate multiple monsters of the same type, small poems will appear with information about each one of them. Face your fears and traumas to understand them and overcome them.
Conquering a complete Bestiary signifies that you have confronted and overcome all of your fears!

Lost in the maze of your own mind, amidst pain and despair, search for a glimmer of hope, discover the letters left by Alice, and remember that your past may have been different from what you imagine.
Not everything is made of pain and suffering, just like your memories. The letters you received from Alice will help you recall the happy side of your life, you just need to find them!

Explore the scenarios and eliminate enemies accompanied by a series of soundtracks that adapt to your combat situation.
