What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The main reason for entering Early Access is to ensure that our players contribute to the development process of the game. A horror game like "To Last" delivers a much stronger experience when it’s shaped not only by the developer but also by the community. Your feedback will be invaluable in refining the mechanics, enhancing the atmosphere, and creating a more seamless overall experience. By considering the valuable insights from our community, we aim to take the game even further. Early Access provides a fantastic opportunity to start this dialogue earlier and work together with our community to create a better game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Our current plan is to complete the Early Access phase of "To Last" within about 1 year. During this time, we aim to refine the game based on player feedback. While we continue to work on core aspects like game mechanics, story, and optimization, we will rely on the experiences of our players to help us achieve the best possible version of the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to include several improvements and additions compared to the Early Access version. Firstly, game mechanics will be more refined and polished. In particular, enemy AI, the immersive atmosphere, and the challenges faced by players will be more advanced in the full release. The story will be fully developed and enriched. The map will be expanded with new areas available for exploration. Additionally, performance and optimization issues will largely be resolved by the time of the full release. Visual and sound design will also be enhanced to deliver a richer experience. Throughout this process, feedback from our community will guide us to continuously improve the game, ensuring the final version reaches its best potential.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version currently includes the core gameplay mechanics, enemy AI, and an introductory flow of the story. Players will be able to explore a large map and experience the foundational gameplay elements. However, since the game is still in development, some mechanics may not be fully optimized, and improvements to the user interface and performance are ongoing. Several areas that reflect the game’s atmosphere and overall experience are already completed, but elements like the story and map expansion will be further developed during the Early Access phase. The game will be continuously improved based on player feedback throughout this process.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There may be some changes to the pricing once the full version of the game is released. While the Early Access version is available at its current state, the price could be reassessed based on the additional content and improvements made over time. Factors such as fluctuating exchange rates and rising costs may also play a role in this decision.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is extremely important to us and will play a guiding role in the game's development. The input we receive from our players will help us improve core elements such as game mechanics, enemy AI, and atmosphere. We plan to maintain constant communication with our community through in-game experiences and forums. By conducting regular surveys via social media and the Steam community, we will allow players to directly contribute to which features need further development. Additionally, we will shape game updates based on community feedback and share each new version with the community to gather further insights.”
