Why Early Access?

“New Arc Line is a complex RPG and given its scope and interconnectedness of the mechanics included, we want to use the Early Access period to involve the community and receive player feedback that will help us shape the upcoming stages of development, and help us make the very best game we can.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are planning to have New Arc Line completed and ready for full launch in late 2025. But since we want the game to be a memorable and smooth RPG experience when it leaves Early Access, there is a possibility that we will need to prolong the Early Access period and postpone the full version release beyond that time frame.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to significantly expand the content of the game, including new areas, quests, equipment, companions and playable classes and races, as well as mechanics (such as the sub-class system) and new abilities and spells. Perhaps most importantly, the Early Access version does not include the full story. We are also planning to add more textual localizations to the game at full launch, including French, German, Spanish, Ukrainian, Simplified Chinese and Russian. Of course, due to the nature of Early Access, our plans can change based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version includes two playable races (human and elf), two classes (Voodoo Shaman and Dieselpunk Engineer), and the first approximately 25% of the main storyline; including various side quests and areas, we estimate it to be roughly a third of the planned full release and should take up to around 10 hours to complete, depending on the playstyle, the amount of exploration done, etc.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we are planning to increase the price during Early Access. We will inform everyone about any pricing changes in advance, so that they are able to plan ahead. We will be using the Steam news and Discussion forums as well as various social media channels for any price-related announcements.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have been using our Discord server and Steam Discussion forums to gather player feedback from those playing the demo, and will continue using these channels throughout Early Access of New Arc Line. We hope everyone who gives our game a chance during this period will share their impressions, be they positive or negative. And we encourage everyone to especially post any suggestions to improve the game’s mechanics and report any bugs they might encounter while playing. Last but not least, we will be carefully reading through all the Steam reviews and analyzing the feedback from them as well.”

About This Game

During Early Access, the game will only be available in English. More translations will be added later.

The New World looms on the horizon, on its shore the shining city of progress, and the last beacon of hope in your search for a cure to your family's fatal disease - New Arc. You arrive to this foreign land by steerage of a steamship, cramped with thousands of other immigrants, a stranger in a strange land, full of wonder. But you will soon discover that the city's beauty runs only skin-deep and all you find is rot beneath the golden facade.

Dark smoke from the factories chokes the skies, segregation, inequality, and corruption run rampant. You will have to rise from the very bottom, make tough decisions, and get your hands dirty if you are to succeed - and you must, no matter the cost!

Craft technopunk gear or master the arcane arts, fight, steal or smooth-talk your way to the top and become the hero or villain you want to be. You will not have to face the trials of this world alone, however; find your companions and gather your party, make foes and allies, fall in love, get involved in a massive conspiracy, and change the course of history forever.

Become the Hero or the Villain you want to be

Create your own character as a Human or Elf, choose your gender, background and appearance. Keep in mind that inhabitants of this world might have their own prejudices and will treat you differently depending on your choices.

Gather your Party

You won’t be alone on these shores. Meet & recruit a diverse cast of characters, learn their stories, face their demons together and help them grow, or use them for your own gain and discard them as fits your schemes. Who knows, maybe you will even find your true love!

Master Technology or Magic

Will you master the secrets of Magic to incinerate enemies as a Hellfire occultist, curse them with mystical Voodoo abilities, or assist your allies as a Celestial sage? Or will you rather cast aside the obsolete ways and become a Steampunk mechanic, Dieselpunk engineer or Teslapunk scientist, and turn your character into a walking steam-powered fortress?

Fight for your Right

Command your party in turn-based tactical battles. Fight head-on and brute-force your way through encounters or observe and analyze each situation and come up with cunning strategies to conquer even seemingly overwhelming odds. There’s a plethora of skills, spells, crafting recipes and consumables at your disposal to turn the tide of battle in your favor.

Manifest Your Destiny

Make a name for yourself, influence countless lives for better or worse, and watch the consequences of your choices unfold.
