Why Early Access?

“We considered stopping development, but people on the show floor of Gamescom 2023 loved Mononeko so much that we decided to bring this game to our fans via Early Access and continue.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to complete Mononeko by next year, but player feedback may prompt us to make changes that could delay development.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We wish to increase the scope of the combat to include a wider range of enemies who attack in new ways, more sandbox elements that add variety to the combat and additional boss fights. More dialogue and some cutscenes to tell the story better. The user interface needs an overhaul and the upgrades players can purchase with gold coins need a lot more love from us and also the minigame of scouting for enemies on the map needs more polish. We would also like to provide more settings, such as button rebinding, different screen resolutions and vsync toggle. There's still a lot we can do improve the gameplay.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“You can play the tutorial and first two story chapters, including two awesome boss fights.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“As of the moment we have no plans to increase the price when we leave early access.”
