Why Early Access?

“I'm a solo developer and I need your feedback to make this game the best it can be! Early Access allows me to build the game with the community involved every step of the way. My last game (Dungeon Deathball) benefitted hugely from Early Access and I'm keen to recapture that magic again.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“A few months at least, a year at most. It depends on the popularity of the game and how much work the community feels is necessary to really make it live up to its potential.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The short version is... more stuff! 😀 More weapons, suits, upgrades, enemies, bosses, levels, etc. Steam Achievements will be implemented during Early Access too. All of these will dramatically increase the variety of gameplay, giving you more choices for creating unique builds, experiencing surprising situations and discovering new secrets.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“A complete 20 minute run is fully playable. The game currently includes 1 level, 3 GunSuits, 10 weapons and dozens of upgrades with many, many more planned for the full version. Cloud save functionality and full controller support are already implemented. I always keep the game as bug-free as possible, especially when it comes to major crashes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will mostly likely increase a little after Early Access to reflect the increase in quality and content. However, I do want to keep the price low so that the game is affordable and accessible to as many players as possible. I would be happier if more people could play the game at a low price than a small group of people played it at a high price. Times are tough for everyone.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be a vital part of this game's development. I will be reading all of your comments, reviews and requests, as well as engaging with the Steam forums and my Discord server. My last game, Dungeon Deathball, had an Early Access phase which resulted in a number of features added at the request of player feedback. I fully intend to do the same again with GunSuit Guardians.”
