What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We want to create a wrestling company management experience that gives the booking community something they've been wanting for a long time. In order to do that, we'll need to get constant feedback from the community with the ability to make any changes and improvements in every aspect of our product. We believe that putting our game through Early Access will give us the right platform in order to achieve this. Include this with the added advantage of including our community in a detailed development process, we feel that Early Access will be a massively bn”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We're committed to releasing Main Event: Wrestling Manager out of early access as soon as we feel that the game meets our standards for a full release. Given the scope of the project, we anticipate that it will take approximately 6-12 months to reach that point. However, this is just an estimate, and we're willing to adjust our timeline based on player feedback and any unexpected challenges that may arise during development. We appreciate your patience and support as we work to create the best possible experience for our players.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“While the early access version of Main Event: Wrestling Manager will offer a robust wrestling booking simulation experience, the full version will plan to introduce several new features and content to enhance the game. Some of these features include:

  • Ever-Expanding Roster: Fort the full release we plan to feature an expanded roster of real-world wrestlers, referees, announcers, and commentators from around the globe, including legends of the sport and rising stars.
  • New Match Types: We plan to introduce new match types that will allow players to create more exciting and dynamic events, creating an even more immersive experience both inside and outside of the ring.
  • Enhanced Customization: We will be looking at introducing new in-game customization options that will allow players to create their own custom logos, arenas, and more.
  • Improved AI: We will be working to improve the game's AI to make it more challenging and realistic, providing a more engaging experience for players.
  • Main Event Online: In the future, we're planning on building our "Main Event Online" multiplayer mode which will allow players to compete with others around the world using a shared roster, while also focusing heavily on homegrown talent and development, providing a real test of skill.

We also plan to release a series of free and paid DLC packs that will introduce new roster and company packs, match packs, datasets, and more. We believe that these features and content will help create a more immersive and engaging wrestling booking simulation experience for our players.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of Main Event: Wrestling Manager currently includes a robust wrestling booking simulation experience that allows players to create their own promotion, hire talent and staff from around the world, book shows and events, and compete against AI competitor promotions in an effort to become the highest-rated wrestling company.

Players can access a large official roster of real-world wrestlers, referees, announcers, commentators, and promotions from the United Kingdom, United States, Europe, Asia, Mexico, and Canada. They can also create, import and share custom rosters and mods to bring in their favorite promotions and workers.

The game also features a detailed training facility where players can develop their own homegrown talent, a social media system where players must deal with fan backlash and keep their staff happy, and much more.

While the game is still in early access, we have already implemented a large number of features and content that provide a complete and engaging experience for players. We are committed to providing a polished and playable model for each area of the game as we continue to work towards a full release, and we will continue to release regular updates to address any issues and add new features and content.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“At the moment, we plan to keep the same price throughout the Early Access period. However, after the full release of the game, we may adjust the price to reflect the added value of the additional content and features that we plan to release in the future. We want to ensure that our players feel that they are getting their money's worth, while also supporting the continued development of the game. It's worth noting that we're committed to giving back to the wrestling industry and community, and any changes we make to the pricing will always be made with fairness and transparency in mind.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We believe that community involvement is crucial to the success of any game, especially one like Main Event: Wrestling Manager. We plan to involve the community in several ways, including:

  • Regular Q&A sessions: We will hold regular Q&A sessions online where players can ask questions and provide feedback on the game.
  • Discord and forums: We have created a Discord server and forums where players can discuss the game, provide feedback, and share their ideas for future updates.
  • Bug reports: We will be encouraging players to report any bugs or issues they encounter in the game, so we can fix them as quickly as possible.
  • Suggestions and feedback: We welcome any suggestions or feedback from the community on how we can improve the game. We will be actively monitoring the Steam discussion boards, Discord, and forums for any ideas that can help us make the game better.
  • In-game events: We will be organizing in-game events that will allow players to interact with each other and with us, and provide feedback on the game.

Our goal is to create a game that is fun and engaging for everyone, and we believe that community involvement is key to achieving this. We are committed to listening to our players and incorporating their feedback into our development process.”

About This Game

Main Event: Wrestling Manager is a booking simulator where you can create your own wrestling promotion, hire talent and staff, book matches and compete with other promotions around the world in an attempt to become the greatest wrestling company ever created.

Features

  • Create, Edit & Share rosters, workers, companies, shows and more
  • Book events and shows with in-depth control, including spots, outcomes and storylines
  • Develop homegrown talent or scout for international workers to boost your ratings
  • Create nail-biting rivalries and storylines with our intensity-based system
  • Compete with other promotions around the world to become the best wrestling company in the world

Create your promotion from the ground up, starting with your promotion profile and your company branding. Start your journey with your first few shows to establish yourself in the wrestling world, find your target audience, and gain public attention.

Your starting steps in the industry will determine almost every step on your journey. Coming from a business background means more money to spend on events and workers, whereas a disciplined wrestling background may result in harder, more loyal workers. Will people want to work with you for your money, or to gain your respect? These are all questions you'll have to ask yourself when it comes to building your promotion.

Putting on a show is a lot more than just booking your fantasy match. Before boots even touch the mat, you have to consider location, logistics, ticket prices and more.

Create storylines and rivalries in advance, as well as building prestigious titles, all will quickly prove their worth in booking an incredible event.

Fill matches and segment slots with your signed talent, developmental rookies, or book outsider talent for a one-off pop. Hire a booker to decide the best outcome, or put together the match, outcome, spots, match intention and more, all with their own pros and cons depending on the worker and audience.

Post match analysis will show you what worked, and what didn't, with the ability to see the talent's progress with the company, how over they were with the crowd, as well as how well the event did in general.

Develop and grow your company in a number of different areas; from creating shows for a certain target audience, opening a training school for new talent, to creating and evolving storylines and rivalries.

Target audiences are a heavy part of building any business. Keeping a target audience happy is crucial in keeping the money coming in, whilst exploring new avenues can change the direction and boost growth substantially.

Finding a good training school is important for any up-and-coming wrestler, so why not take advantage and open your own? Training your own talent can be a great way to bring exciting new workers to the ring and have an established relationship with workers regardless of whether they're signed with you or not.

Storylines are arguably the most important thing when it comes to entertainment in wrestling. As your company progresses, you will be able to either outsource a writer for one-off storylines, or even hire your own writers to passively write and unlock potential storylines. Rivalries need to be intense in order to work, so with that in mind, rivalry storylines need to maintain intensity in order to progress. Whilst a good rivalry can really set apart a promotion from their competition, a failed rivalry can really leave a bad reaction when it comes to the fans.
