Why Early Access?

“Early Access will give us additional time to develop Stop Dead into the best game it can be. We are a two-person development team, and Early Access will take a lot of stress off of us and allow us to build out the types of challenges that the community loves to play. We feel we’ve exhausted what we can effectively build in a vacuum – and we're ready to bring loads of players in for valuable feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Stop Dead should be in Early Access for at least two months, likely longer depending on player feedback and the size of improvements. Player feedback will be instrumental in helping us develop and balance a huge assortment of levels and core gameplay mechanics, as well as adjustments in game visuals.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“When the game moves from Early Access to the full version, players should expect a complete set of levels (at least 40 in total) as well as a full narrative, and two additional boss fights.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Stop Dead in Early Access currently features 23 levels, just over half of the complete experience. Leaderboards for the available levels will be live and functional throughout the Early Access process, allowing players to submit their best times and scores and see how they rank against other players. There is also Twitch integration for those that want to allow their Twitch followers to affect their gameplay in real time. Over the course of Early Access, we are planning to include additional features and levels for players to experience and provide feedback on.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We are not planning on changing the price of Stop Dead during Early Access. When Stop Dead leaves Early Access we expect to increase its price due to the development of additional levels and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We plan on communicating with the Stop Dead community through our Steam page, as well as our social media channels including Twitter and Discord. We will be looking to the community for feedback on levels and features to shape the final game.”
