Miksi Early Access?

GladiEATers has been in development since 2022, we've had successful playtests and a huge chunk of it is ready for you! Early Access lets us listen to players and improve on the game with their opinions, from GladiEATer abilities to Cooking Game difficulty. Every Combat Chef should feel distinct, viable and rewarding to play. It also lets us develop other Combat Chefs and grander story content while still giving players a game for them to sink their teeth into right now!

We have mapped out our content to release over approximately ~1 year.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

GladiEATers is a complete experience with the Combat Chefs that are available. However, in the full version we plan for all 7 Combat Chefs to be playable and all 65+ GladiEATers cookable, as well as 1 secret bonus Chef and their GladiEATers! We also have a plan for improved features: such as streamlined multiplayer and unique run modifiers. We are also cooking up a grander narrative beyond the 7 Chef stories complete with unique boss battles.

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

As served, GladiEATers has 3 playable Combat Chefs, both in our Roguelike mode as well as their individual Chef stories. There are 30 different GladiEATers to cook with 90+ unique abilities. There are 3 unlock trees with 3 seasonings unlockable. The Roguelike mode has 7 increasing difficulty levels. When you're done with all of that, there's also our 1v1 multiplayer mode.

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

Early Access is offered at a lower price. The price will increase after Early Access.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

We've already implemented improvements and fixes suggested by multiple rounds of playtesters. We gather feedback through Discord, Steam and our in-game feature. Player feedback will be what seasons GladiEATers to perfection!

GladiEATers is a narrative creature battler that blends top-down JRPG, cooking minigames and 6v6 turn-based creature battles. Follow the stories of seven Combat Chefs as they compete to become champion of the CALosseum, and watch their relationships (and your skills) simmer as you take on roguelike tournament mode.

COOK YOUR CREATURES?

Chop, boil, bake and fry your ingredients into fighting shape in a snappy series of bite-sized minigames. Each round is a chance to add to your team or evolve your existing fighters into new, more powerful evolutions!

COMMAND YOUR FOOD!

Once you're plated up, command your culinary creations in up-to-6v6 turn-based battles! Cook up your own strategies and combos from 65+ lovingly hand-animated GladiEATers unique sets of abilities and synergies. Unlock Combat Chef powers and seasonings for an extra twist. Do you have what it takes to conquer the CALosseum?

CHOOSE YOUR COMBAT CHEF

Seven stories of cooking, conflict, and compassion all lead to the CALosseum: A pun-flinging egg farmer, a monolingual Finnish baker (and his best friend) and at least one secret agent will prove themselves, settle old scores, and maybe even make a few friends along the way.

Master each character's culinary specialties in their playable backstory, then embark on a JRPG journey set off by the events of the tournament. Discover the drama behind every dish as GladiEATers explores what it means to cook and eat in a story featuring gorgeous pixel animation, and comic sections from Marvel and DC artist Rosi Kämpe.

FIGHT YOUR FRIENDS (with food)

Serve up your skills against a friend in online multiplayer. Or take your Combat Chef powers into a ranked leaderboard to become the best Combat Chef in the world!

MASTER THE MENU

The story continues and the intensity rises in CALosseum Mode! Take on a series of increasingly tough battles and test your skills with spicy run modifiers, character meta-progression, and unlockable special abilities and cosmetics.
