What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Now that the demo is available, we hope to give the community a glimpse into what the game will be like when the final version is released.
We want the community to play The Bakerville Case while we work on future improvements, along with players giving us their support through feedback, to improve some aspects for the final version.
And while the game will launch with all its base content, we chose to start with Early Access to gather player data and how they perceive the overall balance of the sandbox.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“When Early Access launches we expect it to last approximately one or two months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of the game will come with the full main Story mode from day one, available on all difficulties.
Additionally, we plan to release some DLC and editions when the final release arrives.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game will be fully playable and the entire main story will be available from the launch of Early Access, but we plan to release free patches and updates to improve the overall experience of the game.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Pricing will remain the same during Early Access and Final Release, but if there is a change, it will be announced.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We want the community to support us by sending their comments to improve the game in its final version, be it bug fixes or details to improve.
When we launch Early Access we will include a link to a form that players can fill out and submit to us, plus they can use the Steam discussion forum or our Discord server to post any issues, questions, or suggestions they have.”

About This Game

ABOUT ENVIRA ENHANCE

  • Envira Enhance is our advanced graphics system powered by DirectX, enabling Real-Time Global Illumination and enhanced shadows using Ray Tracing, as well as high-fidelity volumetric lighting.

  • High-quality volumetric lighting generated with Quantum Volumetrics, part of the Envira Enhance ecosystem.

  • Pulse Illumination is our ray tracing system that does not depend on RTX cores, and is composed of multiple functionalities such as Real-Time Global Illumination, which improves the behavior of lighting in the elements of the environment, as well as the reaction of objects, adding light bounces and transluminescence to certain materials and textures. Shadows also improve its behavior, such that it changes its rendering depending on its distance from a light source, this is possible thanks to our ShadingWorks system, which improves the shadows quality.

For more information about advanced graphics quality and ray-tracing requirements, visit our website.

The Bakerville Case is a game created by one person. Please give your feedback and report any bugs to us, this will really help speed up development progress! Thank you very much.
