Why Early Access?

“We believe a community based game like CourseCraze should not just stem from our own plans, so we decided Early Access will be the best way to interact with the community and improve the game together.”

“We plan to release the game in 2027, although plans can of course always change.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will feature a much bigger set of track blocks, a full campaign, a fully featured editor as well as Hot Seat and Splitscreen local multiplayer options along with friends and global leaderboards.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently the game is in the prototype phase. Some systems are underdeveloped or non-existant. The core gameplay loop and large portions of the UI work is done.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“At this current time, we do not plan to change the pricing when leaving early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Both Steam community and our Discord will be actively monitored. We want to integrate the community into the progress as much as possible.”

About This Game

Course Craze is an arcade hovercraft racer about one thing: the perfect lap. It's you against the clock, in a floaty little rocket on a track that wants to throw you off.

To the finish line!

Drift through corners tightly and maintain your hovercrafts angle to minimize loosing too much speed. Hit boost pads to blast past the speed limit. Perfect your run and you'll drive a good time!

  • Boost pads and effect pads that can affect movement positively or negatively

Race the clock, then race yourself

Every track has four medals to beat. Earn them to collect XP and level up and get access to even wilder challenges. Every run is recorded, so you can race a ghost of your personal best and see exactly where you can improve.

Leaderboards

Every track has its own global leaderboard. Check where you stand against the world and against your Steam friends, then shave off another tenth.

Hot Seat & Splitscreen

Share a controller or share a screen with two local multiplayer modes to play with your friends. Drive on both official and community-made tracks to get the best time!

Build your own tracks

The built-in track editor has more than 150 blocks to work with: roads, curves, ramps, halfpipes, slants, checkpoints, boosters, effect pads, jumps and more. Add trackside decorations like grandstands, TV towers, tyre stacks and floodlights to give your track a unique flair. Pick between multiple weather effects (clear, rain, snow, fog or a thunderstorm) and the time of day, from morning to night.
