Why Early Access?

“This version is not yet feature-complete and it might have bugs. To allow further development and to get early feedback from users Recreation Room is in Early Access for now.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Recreation Room will leave Early Access as soon asall basic features are implemented. This might take a few months. Release of version 1.0 is currently planned for October 2022.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have fully customizable landscapes, points of interest, seasons, and changing biomes. Expect meadows, deserts, beaches, (tropical) islands, jungles, and even underwater reefs. There will also be different locomotion control types for personal comfort. You will be able to take photos and share environment configurations with friends, so they can visit a place you found especially beautiful or enticing.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Current version offers:

• Three types of environment generation (Daily Seed, Random Seed, Static Seed)
  
• single environment (Infinite Forest)
  
• single locomotion mode (smooth walking in head direction)
  
• LOD-Slider to optimize Fidelity/Performance
  
• Music can be turned on/off
  
• Nose can be turned on/off

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to slowly increase the price the during Early Access with an increasing featureset.”
