About This Game

🎞️ Story

Koward is a 23-year-old guy who gets tongue-tied just asking his crush out.

On his girlfriend's birthday, he takes Mangostina to dinner, clutching a gift in his pocket—but the words just won't come out. In a moment of frustration, he mutters under his breath: "I'm such a coward. I'd rather choke on this food and die."

Big mistake.

Black and White Impermanence, desperate to hit their quarterly quota, seize the perfect excuse. They drag this "suicidal" unlucky soul straight to the underworld city of Fengdu. The judge delivers the news: Koward has never lived past 23 in any lifetime. It's not bad luck—it's a thousand-year curse, personally crafted by King Yan. The only way to break it? Escape the underworld on your own two feet.

And so, a coward who couldn't even confess his love finds himself on a maddening journey through the afterlife—

Catching ghosts for the River God, gambling against White Impermanence, cracking the Ksitigarbha Seven Souls Formation, storming all 18 layers of Hell, collecting three legendary instruments…

But beneath all this lies a story that spans 1,300 years—a lost friendship, a debt of guilt, and a version of yourself you've long forgotten.

♥️ Characters & Bonds

Across your journey through Fengdu, you'll meet two companions:

Ray — A blue-haired young man caught stealing prison robes by Black and White Impermanence. At the moment of his doom, you trade one of your own souls to save him. From then on, he follows you through every circle of Hell without question. Your connection runs far deeper than a chance encounter in the afterlife.

Flora — A sharp-tongued girl assigned to hard labor in Hell. She seems carefree, but she's perceptive and fiercely loyal. Ans she becomes the brains of your trio.

Every conversation, every battle fought side by side, every narrow escape—they all point to a truth you haven't yet realized: this isn't your first time meeting.

Game Features

🎭 Open-World Exploration in the Underworld

From Fengdu Square to the banks of the Wangchuan River, from Mount Luofeng to the 18 layers of Hell—every corner hides secrets. Roam freely, chat with demons, try your luck at the casino, or drop a "donation" in the charity box—though fair warning: most of your money will be skimmed off by various underworld departments.

🧩 Interlocking Puzzles

The main quest unfolds through a chain of missions, each clue leading to the next. Observe your surroundings, piece together logic, and talk to NPCs over and over to map out your full escape route. Some puzzles demand specific items (shape-shifting potions, dancing shoes, teleportation orbs)—and getting those items is an adventure in itself.

⚔️ Lightweight Turn-Based Combat

When you run into the creatures of the underworld, you'll enter turn-based battles. Choose from basic attacks, spells (Hellfire, North Yin Ice, etc.), items, or buffs. Combat is snappy and strategic, focusing on smart decisions rather than raw numbers.

🎮 Switch Between First and Third Person

Toggle between first-person and third-person views with a single button. Use third-person to survey the world around you, then switch to first-person for deeper immersion in puzzles or atmospheric scenes.

👻 Unique "Divine Power" System

Collect items from the human world (boxing gloves, crystal dance shoes, teleportation orbs, a motorcycle) and refine them at the Great Spirit Temple to unlock four divine abilities:

  • Might — Push heavy boulders to open new paths

  • Grace — Dance on glowing floor panels to trigger hidden events

  • Teleport — Return to Fengdu Square from anywhere

  • Ride — Speed across the underworld on a motorcycle

✨ Highlights

  • Chinese Mythological Fantasy — A richly imagined underworld blending King Yan, Black and White Impermanence, Meng Po, Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, and Fengdu Emperor into a world that's both absurd and authentic.

  • A 1,300-Year-Old Heartbreaker — The story of White Impermanence and the Tang Dynasty musician Lang Xuan runs through the entire plot. You think you're just escaping Hell—turns out you're finishing what they started thirteen centuries ago.

  • A Gentle Story of Debt and Redemption — A boy who once failed to act out of fear finally finds the courage in the underworld to make things right. The soul you save isn't just a friend—it's the person you were too scared to be.

  • Warmth Wrapped in Humor — The dialogue is playful and witty (Impermanence complains about overtime, King Yan is perpetually hungover, casino inspectors watch for cheaters), but the emotional core hits hard and true.

  • A Complete 10-Hour Journey — A single-story, linear narrative with no branching endings. Just one focused tale about how a coward learns to be brave.

Are You Ready to Escape Fengdu?

Come in a rush, leave with nothing.
Empty your pockets. Set the ghosts free. Take off the prison robes. Reclaim your three souls.
Then—step onto that ferry, cross the Wangchuan, and return to the land of the living.

Just know this: some reunions were written long before you ever met.
