What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The game is in Early Access due to its unpolished state. Many assets are placeholders or coming from asset packs that we really want to replace or customize before a full release.

I also have different ideas for character development, skills and gameplay features. The development direction will be highly affected by the community feedback, so feel free to share your suggestions and ideas as well.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It really depends on the community interest in the game. If the game is successful and many new ideas and feature requests come, it might take a few years to complete. If the general interest is low I'll probably polish the game as it is and release it within a year then move on.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version is planned to have a more coherent art style and a much more polished state, including smoother animations, a less clunky combat system, better AI and more stable performance.

We're planning to make changes and upgrades to character development, quests and some gameplay features. Some features may come and go based on the community feedback.

The length of the main storyline and the size of the world is planned to remain the same. However if the game is loved by more than a few people, a new episode or a sequel might become a thing.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is at an early beta stage. The whole game is playable, technically feature complete. All the major quest are available, the world is fully populated with content. Basically everything you can read in the description of the game is there for you. The game already had multiple significant alpha test phases and all the critical and game breaking bugs are fixed or at least they should be.

However the game is far from finished and it's mostly noticeable by the lack of proper polish and the use of placeholder assets.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“If the game scope and size will remain roughly the same around the end of the Early Access phase, the price won't change. If the game somehow grows into something bigger and better, the price might increase a little for the full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are really excited about how the game will be received by the community. I want to create an immersive and fun RPG with a small scope, but with a huge amount of things to do and ways to do stuff. I'm looking forward to integrate ideas from the community including gameplay features, quest ideas, skills, enemy concepts and so on. We'll consider anything that fits into the game's world.”

About This Game

Lilium is an action role-playing game taking place in a very small, but dense open world. It has a short, interesting main story, several side quests, dungeons and exciting secrets waiting to be discovered. Find your fun by interacting with your surroundings, develop your character, loot everything.

After altering the future and saving humanity, our hero went on dangerous missions to finish the enemy once and for all. The last mission was a success, but ended with a huge nuclear explosion. The hero became a legend.

A legend, but not dead. At the last moment the explosion threw them through the portal. The large overload caused by the nuclear reaction carried our hero to an unknown place and time.

"Where am I? How do I survive? Will I ever go home?"

  • Play as a female or male character, set you name and starting character class
  • Follow the main storyline (9 quests) and do several side quests (10 quests)
  • Explore the Western Islands of Lilium on foot or by boat
  • Explore the dungeons and caves of the islands (5 dungeons in total)
  • Interact with almost everything in the world. Most things are lootable, the rest is moveable, throwable. You can kill the strongest boss with a single cup if you're determined enough
  • Fight with swords, clubs, axes, bows, guns or just hack your opponent with a rubber chicken
  • Dip you weapons in poison or light your arrows on fire and deal more damage
  • Sneak around your enemies and deal more damage to them from behind with a surprise attack
  • Develop your character as you play. Get faster by running, more resistant by taking damage or just become the master of farts and destroy everyone
  • Loot, trade and upgrade you equipment as you go on

Your progress in the game is saved automatically as you explore and complete quests. If you do something unwise, you might do a permanent damage to your world and won't be able to proceed with your storyline. It wont stop you from having fun of course. Don't afraid from starting a new game if everything goes wrong. Enemies and loot spawns randomly, you might have a different experience each time you play. If you die, you might lose some of your progress and loot, but you're character will keep it's skills. The more you play, the better you'll get, even if you die a lot.
