What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We strive to provide presenters with the best tool for hosting Mafia and other communicative games in the virtual space and provide players with a high quality user experience. We see points of growth, but we are already ready to invite you to explore the possibilities of our Mafia game platform. User feedback is very important and will definitely be taken into account in further work on the application.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are actively adapting the SpectrumGames platform for communicative games, and we started with our favorite logic mafia. During the year we plan to introduce new features and user settings, game environments, a mobile and even a VR version.
Every month we plan to update the release, presenting an increasingly better version.
The game will be in early access for about 12 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We will try to make the full version as adaptive as possible for different variations of the game Mafia. We plan to add environments for other communication games. We will work on adding tools to speed up gathering for the game, to make it easier for players to find each other and choose a facilitator. We will work on expanding the presenter toolbox, the environment library, and the list of supported devices.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“It's already possible to play a game of Mafia with a host. The basic arsenal of the Spectrum platform is available: interaction in a single virtual space through avatars, moderation settings, uploading custom files for room branding, controlling the camera in flight mode to shoot clips (screen recording through third-party apps).”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The app will be free for one year. There may be paid features when the app is released from early access.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will accept feedback and suggestions, and will share tips and tricks for using our product.”

About This Game

SpectrumGames with Mafia Room is a platform for Mafia for 9 people, consisting of: three Citizens, a Special Officer, a Doctor, a Detective, three Mafia members.
It is a team game (team of the peaceful city against the mafia team), which requires a leader from among the users.
The goal of the mafia: to stay in equal numbers against the non-shooting peaceful roles.
The goal of the peaceful city: to get the entire mafia out from behind the game table.
How it happens:
- The peaceful players analyze the players' statements during the day, the voting process, the results of the night's actions, and try to determine who plays for the mafia, and then take those players out from the game table. By voting, and by the city's firing roles, also by night actions.
- Players playing for the Mafia try to take out as many peaceful players as possible by night actions and by voting. Sometimes set up their "weakest link" in order to remove suspicion and gain a foothold at the game table.
- By removing from the table a peaceful role that has the ability to take night actions, the Mafia gains a strategic advantage.
- Players leaving the game table reveal their roles.
- The game ends with a victory for the mafia when there are as many mafia players left at the table as there are peaceful players with a non-shooting role. Draw when the table remains 1 mafia and 1 firing peaceful role. In other cases - the victory of the peaceful city.
- At the game table there is a set of ethical rules (no profanity, etc.) at the discretion of the host.

What you can do in SpectrumGames:
1. Choose an avatar from ready-made avatars or generate an avatar from a photo and customize it. You can create any number of avatars, customize them and choose a new image for each game.
2. use emoji and gestures in addition to voice and text chat (we will increase the arsenal of emotions).
3. Interact with the environment. You can move some objects, move around the room (with the presenter's permission, of course).
Possibilities for the Game Master: to upload his files (pdf, audio and 3D objects), create a closed or open room for the game with the subsequent invitation of players to it, moderate the game.
Mafia is possibly the best team discussion game for boosting communication skills. It may be used for corporate team-building events and friendly parties. In our application, the Game Master can brand the space and build the game atmosphere like in real life!
