Why Early Access?

“Deep Fog is expected to have five chapters.
Devil Beetle Games has three core members,

and based on our experience completing chapter two,
the development time for each chapter will be about 12-24 months.

Before developing each chapter, we want to consider the players' suggestions and adjust the content of the next chapter accordingly.
That includes feedback on the game's difficulty, storyline, and animation, etc....

As such, we are offering players the chance to purchase Early Access Mode,
which will allow players to purchase the game, play it, and provide their feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The official version will be released once all five chapters are complete.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We expect there to be a total of five chapters in the official version of Deep Fog.
Early Access Mode will gradually add chapters.
By purchasing Early Access Mode, players will be able to play the completed chapters of the game.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Two chapters of Deep Fog have already been completed. Players that purchase Early Access Mode can currently play chapter one and chapter two.
(All content, including storyline, gameplay, animations, sound effects, music, etc. are already completed for chapters one and two.)
Playtime for chapter one is approximately 15-20 minutes, and playtime for chapter two is approximately 45-60 minutes.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of Early Access Mode will most likely increase according to the number of chapters completed.
Players that purchase Early Access Mode will be able to get the entire game at a discounted rate.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will gather feedback from the players to make adjustments to the game, enhance gameplay and difficulty for future chapters, as well as optimize the animations and dialogue.
