What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Inferno Arena is a co-op dungeon crawler where the campaign systems — routes, factions, salvage, builds, death stakes — all lean on each other, and that kind of balance can only be tuned with real squads flying real contracts. We're a small studio, and Early Access lets us build in the open with the people who play: every weapon, salvage table, region, and encounter will be shaped by player feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“At least 6 months, more likely around a year — however long it takes for the balance and the region rollout to settle based on your feedback.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Early Access launches with the first three regions of the eight-region route — the Gate, the Main, and the Zone — and the full campaign loop: the persistent hex overworld, contracts, delves, salvage-and-build refits, faction affiliations, vaults, and death that costs you everything on board.
During Early Access, as free updates:

  • The fourth region, the Skin, and continued rollout along the route
  • More hulls, weapons, equipment, and chips, plus deeper Hangar configuration
  • Twitch integration: your viewers appear as named enemies in your delves and vote on your treasure
  • Spectator tools built for broadcasts, and cloud-saved replays of notable runs
  • Expanded options: keybinding, reticle configuration, and more

Post-launch, after 1.0: the route is completed through the Bottom, the Knot, the Tower, and the Sun as optional paid expansions — new regions to delve, never power — while the base game continues to receive free updates. Larger modes, including an objective-based Tug-of-War mode, will be evaluated once the co-op foundation is proven.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The full co-op loop is playable with a squad from day one: contracts, hex travel, delves, salvage, refits, and the death stakes, across the first three regions. The game is in active development, so expect frequent updates, balance swings, and new regions landing free — and expect rough edges while we tune.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Inferno Arena is a one-time purchase. The free demo covers the first region, and your progress carries into the full game. Early Access launches at $9.99 with a launch discount, and the price will rise at 1.0 as regions are added — buying early is the cheapest it will ever be. Everything added during Early Access is included; we will never sell power.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Balance decisions are driven by player feedback and match data, and we read everything. We'll run scheduled playtest weekends with the community throughout Early Access — join the Discord to report bugs, weigh in on balance, and find a squad. Streamers: the Twitch integration is being built with broadcasters, not just for them — tell us what makes it worth your chat's time.”

About This Game

Grab three friends and take a contract: chart your route across a persistent hex overworld, fight through the delves that wait between safe harbors, and haul the wreckage of your enemies home. Out here your MAV is your weapon, your cargo hold, and your livelihood — and everything on it is forfeit if you don't make it back.

Your kills are your build. Everything you kill drops salvage. Refit your MAV at any Base — paired weapons, shield, structure, computer, engine, and chips — where every piece is a side-grade with randomized trade-offs, not a straight upgrade. Starter gear stays competitive at the highest level; the hunt is for the exact compromise your build needs. No two machines come out the same.

What makes it home is yours. Your cargo, your chips, your Blueprints — nothing counts until you dock. Go down out there and everything on your ship is destroyed; the region stakes you a stock refit and throws you back into the lanes. And the vaults raise the stakes: pay dearly for the key, preview the legendary artifact inside, and pray a reward key drops.

One route, eight regions. Every leg raises the stakes — richer salvage tiers, harder delves, stranger encounters. Fly under one faction's banner at a time; your affiliation decides what your contracts pay out.

One-time purchase. No microtransactions, no pay-to-win, no battle pass. Everything added during Early Access is free — and after 1.0, optional expansions add new regions to delve, never power.

Free demo available — your progress carries into the full game.

  • 4-player co-op dungeon crawling — one route, four ships, shared stakes

  • Your kills are your build — randomized side-grade salvage, endless variety

  • Real stakes — death costs you everything on board; the vaults cost more

  • A persistent hex overworld — eight regions, routes that reset behind you

  • Moddable by design — new zones, missions, encounters, and rewards via Workshop

  • For streamers (in development): Twitch chat appears as named enemies and votes on your treasure
