What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Hunted is in early access because we lack a lot of the content we are planning to add to the game, as we currently don't have the funds to add these content quicker we don't want to release this game as it is and letting people think that this is all there is going to be. We also want to grow a player base before releasing this product, this game isn't singleplayer at this current state at least, so by getting known and growing before releasing. There's a much lower chance of becoming a flop.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“As we don't want to rush this and we lack a lot of the content we want to add, this includes upgrading the animations, models and optimizing the game. We currently don't have a date planned when this game is going out of Early Access, but approximately around 6 months to a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“A lot is planned for the game. We will most likely change a lot of the visuals, improving them in the future. We want to add much more cosmetic to the game, some free and some releasing as DLC. These cosmetics is masks, hats, charms, weapon skins, weapon model and more. We are also adding Steam achievements to the game. We are also planning to add a level system, unlock skins and perks by leveling up your characters. We feel it's really important to include you guys too, so polls will be made to let us know what to considering prioritizing. It would also be awesome if you guys would create a discussion on what you want us to add or fix. We also want to optimize the game so you won't need a beast pc to run this. We are working on this game everyday and we want to make it as good as possible. That is possible if we get the support we need.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of Hunted is playable as a normal game. You can host and join games, you can also choose the map you want to play, the host will always be the killer the first round, but after the first one. The players who has played as the monster the least on the server is picked first, if you have played the equal amount of times as a monsters as someone else, there will be a random pick between you and the others. You can use your characters abelites, pick up weapons randomly scattered around the map for self defense. The objective is also randomly spawned around the map. Play 6 of them until the burn up to unlock the gates and escape. Hunted currently lacks a lot of content. You can just play, win and lose. There is not a way to unlock new things or level up. There is very little customization as you currently only can customize two characters. What is working is the abilities each character has, except one monster being "The Plague" and being able to find a firearm randomly scattered around the map, able to stun the monster. There's currently no leveling system added to the game, so everyone has currently unlocked all the cosmetics. The game is being fixed on every day so new content is coming in the future. At this current state the clothes for the survivors is also clipping through each other, this is not game breaking at all. Just a visual bug. There's also minimal HUD, this is because we are planning on having a this kind of system. Remember to also look at your watch to keep an eye out for your health and the current played music boxes. To sprint you can't strafe at the same time, this is something we are planning to change. It's currently like this because we lack the animations. The death animations is currently non-existing at this state. Death works in the game, but dying looks really weird, this is going to be fixed on.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“There's currently no plan in changing the price after the game is out of early access. But it's likely that we may bump up the price around 10-15%. Not more than 30% of the current price”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will make polls and listen to your discussions, as it's really important to us to hear your opinions about mechanics, ideas and things you want to see in our game. We also have a discord for people supporting us on Pateron, making us able to do what we love and release something you guys are involved with.”

About This Game

Survive the night.

In Hunted: Survive the Night you play as 1 monster vs up to 4 survivors. Trapped in an unknown location the survivors has to find and play 6 haunted music boxes until the song finishes. Doing so opens the gates out to the foggy path, waiting for your freedom. The survivors aren't completely helpless as they can find weapons laying around, this doesn't damage the killer, but stuns it instead. Giving the survivors a small window to escape and hide. Remember not to linger for too long. If time runs out before you escape, the gates will close forever and will take your life at the same time.

This is first person only for both the killer and the survivors. Hunted is focusing on realism and horror. Hunted is primarily based on luck, teamwork, sounds and most importantly. Stealth. So be careful of using that flashlight of yours.

Killers and Survivors.
The survivors and killers all have their own unique ability to use. There can only be one type of survivor at a time, and be quick. When everyone is ready, pick your character. Because the game starts as soon as you can choose your survivor or killer. The killer and the survivor also has their own stats, such as speed, stamina, damage, and so on.

Environment.
The objective, spawns and firearms are randomized. The survivors can get really lucky by finding the objectives close to each other, or really unlucky. The survivors can also get lucky by more objectives spawning, since the amount of objectives is randomized. You only need to finish 6 of the music boxes, but there can spawn everything from 8, all the way up to 13 if you are really lucky. The same is with the firearms, except that the amount is from 2-6.

Leveling
Each character and monster has their own levels. Level up your character to get cosmetics and perks, making your character better each play.
