What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The original Project Warlock was one developer’s passion project that went through a number of iterations and picked up a great crew along the way. Their combined effort made the game that to this day receives updates and improvements based on players' feedback. This time we want to give you access to the game early on, so the final product can become an explosive and enjoyable mix of our ideas and your expectations.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Initially we estimated 1 year of Early Access, but after launching the game we found some ideas that sounded very good on paper and promising during the playtests - were not so hot with the players after all. So back to the drawing board it was. We redesigned the core systems, split the existing six levels into twelve and added new monsters and bosses with a huge visual overhaul to boot. This resulted in literally months upon months of extra development that wasn’t planned initially, but we feel the game is better for it. The victim of all of those changes was the schedule we had in mind in the beginning. So - Early Access will be more like two years with the plan for the game to leave Early Access in 2024. Please follow our updates for the latest information.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full game will consist of 3 single-player chapters set in distinct worlds and each with a different playable Warlock character. Each character has their own skills, perks, unique weapons, and magic skills to unlock.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“This version gives you access to the complete first and second chapters in which you play as Palmer and Urd.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes. We feel it’s only fair to let the people who believe in Project Warlock II from early on and are willing to share their thoughts on a title in development pay a bit less than the folks who are perfectly fine with waiting until the whole game is finished. We originally planned that the price will increase with each chapter, but now that this took way longer than expected we want to leave the price point as is until Chapter 3 release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We are actively gathering user feedback through a dedicated form and participate in forum discussions. We’re also providing a milestone plan for game updates and delivering news on the game as it is being developed. Even by simply playing the game, you will already help us by providing crucial metrics allowing us to refine difficulty levels, enemies, weapons, and the overall map design.”

Warlock Evolved

Project Warlock II picks up right after the events of the first game. Warlock’s disciples Palmer, Urd, and Kirsten, each bring their own arsenals of skills, perks, unique weapons, and spells to the table, as well as personal reasons to confront their old master.

Levels in the game evolved into vertical, three-dimensional, multi-floored structures, platforms, and buildings that literally elevate the gameplay. Each of the 3 chapters of Project Warlock II will consist of 12 levels, each one more vertical and intricate than in the original game.

Explosive Combat

Palmer, Urd, and Kirsten carry unique arsenals of weapons and magic skills based on their personas that enable different playstyles. Their tools of destruction can be upgraded resulting in 20+ weapons for each character.

In the first chapter don the mantle of Palmer, whose love for ice, fire, and dual guns fuels the fight against relentless Ghoul hordes, naked Imps jumping you from behind, Turbo Knights with rocket launchers, flying Cacobots, and massive Pigdemons blocking your way.

Chapter 2 allows you to experience the power of Urd’s magical arsenal and unique combat style. Her smaller, nimble weapons - from magic-infused Dagger, through punchy Buckshot Revolver to devastating TNT Charges - are designed for dynamic action, packing as much lethal force as possible. Urd’s utility spells add another layer of destruction. Thanks to her Agility Spell for quicker movement, Poison Spell for damage-over-time, and Crystal Spell for bursting enemies down, she's a real menace. Together, her weaponry and spells offer versatile options to exploit enemy weaknesses and master the art of demon-slaying.

During your bloody rampage you will encounter mini-bosses and bosses that will jump, run, hold, hop, whirl, and use every attack style at their disposal to turn you into monster flodder.

Old Meets New

The legacy of the first Warlock lives on in the sequel! The goal with Project Warlock II is to take the gameplay you enjoyed from the original game and elevate it without losing the “Warlock soul”.

The ol’ and trusty character progression from the original Project Warlock is back in the form of Stats and Perks Points for you to find, scattered around the levels. Use them at the stations in the HUB - a level between the levels, similar to Workshop from the first game - and enhance your abilities to take the demonic carnage to another level.

Each Warlock disciple brings a few unique upgrades, allowing them to show off the full potential of their respective arsenals.

During your adventure in Project Warlock II you will find familiar demons, weapons and spells…
