What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The Insignia Project is currently in Early Access since not all Three Chapters of The Insignia Project are available to play yet. Currently only Chapter One and Two are currently available with Chapter Three planned to be coming soon. We are in early access right now since The Insignia Project is primarily a story-telling-based game and we do not have the full story available for players at the current moment.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Time duration for Early Acess is unknown but we plan to have the full game released and out of Early Access before December of 2021”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version to feature all three complete chapters and a more in-depth storyline to the preceding chapters. As the full version is released, we also plan to have multiple endings and increased optimizations since more development tools can be removed.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“In the current state of early access, only Chapter One and Two are currently available. Chapter one currently features the beginning of the story, some early development graphics, and also some features which are more of testing features to see what the players think of them. Chapter Two's update added improved graphics along with a continued storyline.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The game will get gradual price raises as we ship new content and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We would love to involve the community in any way we can! Some recent ways that we have tried is we held a contest to add an easter-egg to the game, except the community got to choose what the easter egg was. If you wish to be notified of the ability to play the game in pre-release and get other content related to the game as well as be involved in events like the Easter Egg Event, make sure to join our discord! https://discord.gg/aQjtu3VATy

About This Game

The Insignia Project is a multiversal horror game in which you must journey through the story of a world which has doomed itself due to its own creations. It's also most likely doomed every other world in its universe and all other universes as well. Explore the world of UO-#405 and collect back pieces of your world to unravel the truth about The Insignia Project, the UO Foundation, and much more to come.

The Insignia Project is a VHS-Styled, FPS, Chapter-Based, surreal horror game that uses sound and darkness to the fullest. It also features semi-4th wall-breaking moments, chapter-based storytelling, and endless possibilities for how the story may go.

Important Note:
The Insignia Project is going to be released over time as more chapters become available. Each chapter that is released will be complete and may experience slight changes over time as more chapters become released but the story will remain consistent in all prior released chapters.
