About This Game

You sailed to the Lost Isle to stake your claim of wealth and glory, but in a violent storm you were thrown overboard, and now you’ve washed ashore with nothing but a small knife and a single candle. You must carve out an existence in an unforgiving environment disguised as a paradise. You are not the only survivor, and everyone is after the same thing.

Lost Isle is a game of ingenuity and sheer will to survive. Each experience is what you make of it. Every day is a new chance to rise to the top, and every death is an opportunity for sweet revenge.

Inspired by other incredible survival games that we all know and love, Lost Isle takes the open-world survival craft genre and adds a medieval fantasy twist that is sure to feel like a fresh and unique experience.

With dedicated servers supporting up to 200 players, on a fresh server wipe your first PvP encounter might just be on a beach against other dagger-wielding survivors. Throughout the lifetime of a server alliances will form, bases will be built, and PvP might turn into organized group raiding. Or that one guy you killed and forgot about on the beach day 1 will take his revenge and everything you have when you least expect it, because in Lost Isle anything is possible with enough determination.

Players aren’t the only thing on the island out to get you. The world is full of intelligent creatures and wildlife equipped with AI that was designed and developed in-house to deliver an immersive and rewarding combat experience. On the PvE side it ranges from hunting rabbits and elk for resources, to fending off wolves and sharks, to taking down formidable night beasts, skeletal warriors, and forest golems.

  • Whether you prefer to play as a spell-slinging wizard, arrow-flinging archer, or classic sword-wielding knight, there are weapons and armor for each of those playstyles.
  • To help make our first-person melee combat as engaging and fun as possible, we’ve implemented a directional combat system. Since players and other units have sweet spots (like headshots) where they take increased damage, directional combat makes it extremely rewarding to execute the correct melee attack to effectively take out an enemy.
  • Persistent progress after deaths during server wipes. When you die in Lost Isle you will lose everything you’re currently carrying in your inventory, but any progress you’ve made towards unlocking research nodes and skill points will persist through death, so you aren’t starting totally from scratch. Research and skill progress will only be reset on server wipes.
  • We’re partnered with a highly reputable 3rd party server company to ensure a massively multiplayer experience that’s as smooth and flawless as possible.

What makes our spin on open-world survival unique is that it stems from the lore that the Lost Isle exists in an alternate earth setting. Taking place during the medieval period, the island itself is the prison-tomb of a fallen god named Mauroth - whose cosmic energies flow through the earth itself, into every root and vein. As you explore the island you will encounter flora and fauna, some familiar and others totally unique, that come together to make the island a truly magical and beautiful environment.

Ever-burning trees that have long been dead but have never really died. Mineral deposits that are the result of Mauroth’s celestial tomb being thrust down to earth with immense heat and force. Fibrous plants infused with mystical properties. Flying beasts with skin so thick almost nothing can pierce. Endlessly wandering giants made from an amalgamation of all of these things. Harvesting these resources will allow you to craft the most powerful weapons and armor in the game.

  • Unlocking new branches of the research tree will grant you access to crafting multiple tiers of gear. Each new tier of weapons and armor not only provides increased base stats, but also additional unique stats and powerful special abilities.
  • Our tiered base-building system allows for plenty of creativity and customization. It’s designed to be easy to use, but also allow for complex and intricate designs.
  • Truly survival-inspired ingredient-based cooking system that allows players to cook any combination of raw food items. All you’ve got left is a single banana and some questionable rabbit meat? Throw them in the pot and see what you get.

Almost everything in our world is designed to be generated procedurally. From the biome and landscape generation, to point of interest locations, to the stats and effects of weapons and armor. We pride ourselves in saying that each wipe cycle you play will be a fresh experience.

Our day and night cycle adds an incredible amount of depth to both our visuals and our gameplay. Certain things in the world exclusively exist either during the day or night. We are able to capture many different types of emotion when we combine appropriate lighting, location, and ambience as you navigate throughout the procedural world.

  • The best loot can be found in high risk, high reward areas called monuments. Overrun by the forces of Mauroth, these points of interest are defended by skeletal warriors and a dark magic that causes players to gradually lose their sanity, inflicting progressively dangerous psychological effects.
  • An open world can mean lots, and lots, and LOTS of walking. On release we will have basic mounts like horses on land and small boats on water to make traversing the map easier and faster. Over time we’ll release more interesting mounts.
  • For all of the collection and achievement hunters out there, treasure maps can be found that lead to secret areas where players can discover collectible loot. Learn about the complex lore of a world wrecked by conflict and magic through collecting scattered books and journals, faded paintings, and ancient relics telling the story of a god's fall - and the birth of a new world ripe with opportunity.
