Why Early Access?

“While the foundation of Mortal Sin is complete and rich with content, I simply enjoy making it and want to continue to support it with new additions and improvements. Community feedback has been instrumental to the growth of the game, and I want to keep that communication open and continue improving the game leading up to a more widely distributed full release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I could see possibly 6 months depending on the scope of additions, but it should not stop anyone from enjoying Mortal Sin in its current state.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The main point of the full release would be to set Mortal Sin up for wider distribution. For example, localization support for non English speakers and possibly porting to other platforms. However, the plan is to also continue with steady content updates. Being a highly replayable roguelike, every addition adds a lot of value and will keep things fresh for early access players leading up to the full release.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“I would consider Mortal Sin's base game essentially complete. It can be played fully from beginning to end, and has additional bonus areas and content as well on top of that. There are several classes to choose from, multiple difficulty levels and powerful permanent unlocks to keep players coming back for more. The foundation of Mortal Sin is strong, and I want to continue to expand it from here and make it even richer.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, the price will be increased for the full release due to all the content added over the course of early access. Additionally, early access players who are active in the Mortal Sin discord server have a chance to contribute feedback that will greatly affect development.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I collect most of my feedback from the players who use my discord server. Anyone is welcome to join and have their voice be heard. I have a very good track record with this, and It's all about the player having a great experience at the end of the day!

Fluid melee combat is at the heart of this roguelike. Each hit of your weapon, fists and magic will cause devastating wounds to your opponents as limbs fly and blood splatters against the walls. Attacks can be instantly linked into each other for seamless, free-flowing gameplay.

Endless Replayability

Procedurally generated levels, loot and quests ensure no run is ever the same. Unlock special classes that provide unique playstyles, such as the spell slinging Mage, dexterous Monk, or giant sword wielding Berserker!
