What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Since the beginning, we’ve built Nine to Five with our players and we’ve done several tests with our community to get their feedback. We believe the game is fun already and has a lot going for it. However, we understand how important it is to get all the details right in a PVP shooter. Being in Early Access gives us an opportunity to do just that, improving Nine to Five together with the players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We are dedicated to making Nine to Five the game it deserves to be. We are gamers ourselves too. The team will work hard towards making the game as good as it can be, with periodic updates and fixes. Therefore, giving a hard date is extremely hard, but currently release is targeted for the first half of 2022.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are planning regular updates to Nine to Five and will keep testing new things along the way. At this time the release version would include things such as new maps, game flows, gameplay improvements, new armor sets, new weapons and mods, and other content. The balance, based on player feedback, will most likely see iterations over time.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game features two huge maps, including three different game modes with several variations. The players have 19 weapons to unlock and modify to their playstyle, as well as several armor sets, with different abilities and items to choose from. The combination provides a unique toolset for players to play out their strategies with their own playstyle in Nine to Five. The game will be constantly improved as we move forward, so there will be additional content added over time to Nine to Five.

Some players might experience performance issues at times, and these are being addressed as the game matures. Balance will also get iterations over time, as this will be the first time we’re getting long-term player feedback.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Nine to Five is free to play. That will not change. We believe that in games, the most valuable resource we have is the trust of our players, and that can be only when the monetization is fair. The sellable items in game are for example customizable skins, weapons skins, and custom weapons, that are available in the sales shop. These items are purely cosmetic in nature and will not give players advantage over other players. We do not want our game to have any gameplay that would be blocked by paywalls, nor will there be any trick monetization in the form of lootboxes or anything that allows players with money to have an competitive edge against the non-paying players.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have been working with the community developing Nine to Five since day one. We are a studio that not only values feedback but also listens to players. So please reach out to us! This can be done in several different ways; through our Discord, social media channels or through the game’s player support options.”

About This Game

Nine to Five is a free-to-play 3v3v3 team focused first-person shooter! Set in a future where corporations rule and being their mercenary is just another job, collaboration and smart teamplay is what gets the job done around here – not just pure reflexes. Customize your loadouts, mod your favorite weapons and make a killing in the Nine to Five Open Beta.

No matter how good your reflexes, working as a team always gives you the edge. Working with your co-mercenaries in a team of three, you will tackle changing objectives in each shift, keeping everyone on their toes.

To be a successful mercenary, you need the best tools available. With a wide range of weapons and mods, you will be able to customize your loadout to suit your play style the best. This will make your climb up the corporate ladder that much more fun (and violent).

From the streets of Old New York to the deserts of Varmstaad, you’ll have beautiful vistas to admire. Also, you will be shot at, so better not admire the scenery too much. Worry not, the shifts are brief and you will get a chance to go again at a short notice.
