Moon Studios will always be dedicated to delivering the most captivating art, heartfelt stories and challenging fun.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We look forward to announcing the release date for the 1.0 version. We successfully made it through the process of becoming a self-publishing independent studio in 2025 allowing us more control for the vision of the game. No Rest for the Wicked still needs more features, suggestions and feedback on the journey to launch. The timeline has changed some based on feedback, and our shared desire to reach the highest level of quality. We are sharing updates consistently and transparently as they are made. Patch notes and content are actively shared on Steam and our social channels. Check them out for more info. ”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We are on track for a 1.0 version of No Rest for the Wicked. We have significantly expanded and improved the game from our Early Access release in 2024. The Crucible, The Breach and The Breach Refined updates have been massive leaps forward to our 1.0 version launch goal. We are actively listening and have been integrating player feedback throughout Early Access development. Exploration and iteration are critical for us to make the best game possible.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“No Rest for the Wicked is in the most fun, beautiful, and playable state that it has ever been in. We released The Breach and The Breach Refined in 2025 as massive expansions to the Early Release content in 2024, with more planned very soon. Some improvements include:

Expanding on the rich chapters of the narrative campaign
Additional quests that reveal more about the world and its inhabitants
More intense boss battles against plague-ridden creatures
Sizably expanding the variety of weapons, armor, skills, and crafting options
Upgrading weapons with runes, gems and enchantments to create your ideal character build playstyle
Purchasing and furnishing of modifiable homes
Challenges, daily and weekly bounties
A repayable Crucible dungeon

“We will be raising the price of No Rest for the Wicked for the launch of the 1.0 version. The currently lower Early Access price recognizes the game is still in development and the valuable time it takes for gamers to give honest feedback. The year is 841 TE. King Harol is dead. Even worse, the Pestilence, an unholy plague not seen for a thousand years, has returned. It sweeps across the land, corrupting everything it touches. Madrigal Seline, a ruthlessly ambitious figure in the church, sees the Pestilence as a chance to prove herself in the eyes of her god. These forces converge on the backwater Isola Sacra, where rebel groups and the provincial government fight for control amid the isle’s crumbling ruins.

You are a Cerim – a member of a group of mystical holy warriors imbued with remarkable powers and sworn to defeat the Pestilence at any cost. But the task will prove increasingly challenging as you become entangled in the people’s plight and the vast political struggle of this downtrodden land.
