How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of Midair 2 will be a free to play, fast-paced jetpack shooter with a focus on 5v5 capture the flag. All maps, character models, weapon models and assets will have received an art overhaul from their original Midair appearance. Other game modes such as Duel, Arena, Team Deathmatch and Rabbit will be introduced once the fundamentals are tested and in place.

Currently we are in Closed Beta and focusing exclusively on refining the CTF game mode and server performance. Originally we started with one player model and a limited number of maps. The full version will contain additional player models, skins, voicepacks and new maps. Future updates will introduce an XP and Credit system with an economy to purchase cosmetics and hire servers.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Removal of Progression and Base from the first Midair game
Upgraded All art assets
Dedicated Server Support
Game is fully playable but is currently missing Steam economy
Added Linux native client support for testing.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Midair 2 will remain free 2 play.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We have a public Discord (https://midair.gg/discord) and Reddit (https://reddit.com/r/midairce) and other social media where we plan on inviting active players of the previous title to test via beta keys.

We have beta channels on Discord for bug reports and crash log submissions as well as general feedback on the state of the game, giving the players an opportunity to directly interact with the development team.”

About This Game

Midair 2 is a fast-paced jetpack shooter set in a breathtaking new sci-fi universe. Use movement and physics to your advantage, outwit your enemy from every angle, you'll never look at a shooter the same way again.

True Freedom

Movement in Midair 2 is an art. It's a flow. It's a learned, practiced skill that when you know it… you just feel it. Using your jetpack and frictionless boots, launch high-speed airborne assaults, expertly dodge enemy fire, and soar from hilltop to hilltop. Free yourself from the ground or become a quick frag for your opponent. The jetpack draws from your armor’s energy pool, so strategically manage your use of the jetpack and weapons to ensure your battle advantage. Depending on the situation, adjust your jetpack from pushing you upward to giving more maneuvering power. Veteran players know how to manage their jets and energy by instinct.

Teamwork is Critical

A team without coordination is like a shooter without jetpacks. In Midair it's critical that you coordinate your assaults for maximum effect. Take down their flag defenses one by one to expose their flag for a quick grab. But remember, you'll need to keep your flag home too. Enemies who have spent hours studying the terrain and perfecting their movement will race in, grab your flag, and get out -- and FAST. With the right team and friends you can depend on, this will be a breeze.
